If the issues were made into episodes how would they be arranged? 2 issues equal 1 episode 1 arc equals 1 episode?

I think that it would be 1 arc equals 1 episode. It would be differently laid out if it was on TV though.

I think we get roughly the equivalent in storyline/dialogue/action in two issues of the comics as in one episode of the TV show.

i agree.
for example, the 4-issue faith arc, 'No Future for You'... (originally planned as a buffyverse movie), i think had enough in it for 2 episodes...

I would like to think that every two issues is an episode. and the stand alones are episodes on their own, so it would go
Episode one: Long Way Home (1 & 2) Episode two: Long Way Home (3&4) Episode three: The Chain Episode four: No Future For You (1&2) Episode five: No Future For You (3&4) Episode six: Anywhere But Here Episode seven:A Beautiful Sunset and so on.

I don't really think of them as episodes, just story arcs and standalones. This isn't a show where there are episodes, it's a comic series. I mean it is Season 8, but it's not a tv show anymore. I feel like thinking of them as episodes makes it more complicated.

You really think The Chain would be 1 whole episode? Maybe half an hour.

I think each arc would be an episode, at least as far as we've seen so far. The stand alone issues would have to be fleshed out quite a bit.
