As somewhat of a counter-part to the Oscars thread, I thought I'd start one for the 30th Golden Raspberry Awards, or the 2009 Razzies. Maybe I should have done this sooner, as they were held yesterday, but oh, well. Links: . [/li][li] Wikipedia page for the Razzies. [/li][li] Wikipedia page for the 2009 Razzies. [/li][li] Video of Sandra Bullock accepting her award.[/li][/ul] Personally, I get the feeling the main reason Sandra Bullock won is because she is nominated for an Oscar for her other performance she did last year in a blonde wig. It's pretty awesome of her to actually accept it. I'm kind of pissed John Travolta didn't win worst actor of the decade. I hate him.

I also thought it was cool that Sandra Bullock actually went and accepted her award. And while I've only seen two of the movies that got people nominated for worst actress (not including All About Steve), but Sandra Bullock would probably have been one of my last picks.
I disagree on the John Travolta front though. He's not my absolute favorite actor or anything, but I keep watching movies with him, and they're all good.

I guess I can't say all his movies are terrible, mostly because I deliberately stay away from just 'cause I don't like him. I also disagree with Paris getting the worst actress of the decade award. Sure, The Hottie and the Nottie was terrible (don't ask why I've seen that POS), but her performance in Repo! was surprisingly g... Well, surprisingly not terrible.

Travolta was good in "Pulp Fiction" and "Get Shorty", but otherwise, yeah, I'm with you: can't think of anything else I really enjoyed him in. And actually, I'm not even sure if he was "good" in PF, so much as he just "didn't suck". It was Samuel L. Jackson who was really the most memorable actor in that film. "Well, do they speak English in What? ... English, mother*$@#, do you speak it?!" Awesome. ("Say 'what?' again! I dare you! I double-dare you!")

Haha, yeah. I just watched Pulp Fiction the other day. Good movie. And as I think about it, you guys are both pretty right. I was confusing good movies with John Travolta in them with movies that are good because John Travolta was in them. At least his performances aren't movie-ruiners though.

Paris was pretty damn awesome in Repo!, but that might've been because she was INSANELY typecasted. A spoiled, rich heiress? Not much acting needed there.

While Transformers 2 was bad, I certainly don't think it was worse than All About Steve, that movie was pure crap. Transformers 2 isn't completely horrible, but it really was a big step down from the first one.
I completely agree with the Paris Hilton one though, she's a horrible actress, I try to avoid her whenever possible.

Have any of you seen "Hairspray?" John Travolta is amazing in that! He had me cracking up the whole time in a good way.
I thought Sandra Bullock's acceptance speech was hilarious.
