Okay, so I'm having a bit of an issue. Also, i tend ot talk about my computer and programs on it as if they are people, so just bear with me I have Windows Vista. Windows Vista comes with Windows Vista Pro Antivirus. However, I have Telus Antivirus for my main security program. Today, i was on this website and got a pup up. Closed it, as per usual. now, the Wondows Vista Antivirus freaked out! It's like "Stealth Breach! Privacy Threat! Your PC may be being monitored, your computer is infected!!" blah blah blah. I did a full Antivirus scan with Telus, because this Vista Antivirus you need to register and buy. it's telling me about all the infections my computer has, but when I try to get rod of them it tells me I've got to buy the full version of Antivirus first. Now, teh Telus scan said nothing is wrong, so i'm assuming that the Vista Antivirus is just being annoying. Trouble is, the Vista Antivirus is popping up every thirty seconds yelling at me to fix the problema dn saying that my activity is being monitored adn stuff. How do i make that go away!? It's realy annoying and Telus Antivirus is working just fine, but since i have Vista, I don't seem to be able to uninstall its Antivirus program! Please help! Much karma to whoever solves my problem!

SUCCESS!!!!!!!!
The virus is gone! thank you sooo much!! *hugs and bombards with karma*
EDIT:
more issues. The virus is gone, but the anti-spware thing that i used from that link has also somehow erased my computer's ability to recognize files. It can't open anything! I click iTunes, and it says I need ot choose a program to open this file with. So i choose iTunes. then it will open. But i have to do that every time i want ot open iTunes. The same goes for every other program, like Firefox, Word, Photoshop, etc.

ahh i see, this can happen to a lot of people that get infected with this virus, you usually need to completely reinstall the OS, it is a very nasty virus unfortunately, have you tried a system restore? (try to find one from before you got the virus if you can)
EDIT: One thing i suggest is calling microsoft support about your problem (my dealings with them have been fantastic)

My dad had this same problem on his computer a few years ago (XP, tho, not Vista). It looked like some official Windows antivirus program, and the "Your PC is infected!" thing popped up every 30 seconds and made the thing just about impossible to use. When you ran the suggested "virus scan", it came back with about 2,000 results--most of which were "critical"--and urged you to buy the full program to disinfect your system right away. I don't remember for sure, but I think he had to do a full system restore to get rid of it. I hope you get it fixed without having to go that far, but whenever you do get it taken care of, I'd recommend getting Kaspersky Internet Security to keep it from happening again. It's one of the best out there (much better than Norton, apparently), and I've had it for awhile and am totally happy with it...
