Alright so my husband and I are having a Child's Play mararthon. I have never seen these movies. I know tragic but I haven't. Here are my thoughts, I will update as I finish each movie...
Child's Play
Kind of weird watching the 7th Heaven mother in a movie. Her acting wasn't very good. The kid saying his lines was strange and I couldn't help but wonder how messed up this kid would be as an adult. I had a My Buddy doll, and often thought about toys coming to life so it had that strange fear factor, however the movie as a whole was not very scary, just a little unsettling. But the main thing i noticed about this movie was that the cop didn't do anything. Yes he shot Chuckie at the end of the movie but in the apartment he didn't help anyone.
Okay moving on to Childs Play 2...
Child's Play 2
Thus far...
Isn't it suposted to be the same kid. Why change actors? Weird. Kyle sure is mature for a 17 year old. I spend half an hour trying to figure out where I knew the actress from, then I looked it up. Tracy Harper on ER. Who locks a kid in a classroom?
Kind of anti climatic end, but the guy who looses his eyes is halarious. Kind of obvious though. Man that is one pissed off doll.
On to Child's Play 3...
Child's Play 3
I liked the story line of this one, but not much of a horror flick. I think this is where they started to turn it into a "scary" comedy series. I loved the all growed up aspect of it because my mind always wanders to, what would these kids be like when they are teenagers... I saw the last scene of this movie in passing so it wasn't a big surprise. I liked the military school though the left a bunch of details out, and exagerated a few things (of course this isn't a military school documentry so that is expected) So far it is my fav, but that might change soon cause I love Jennifer Tilly.
Moving right along to the fourth installment...
Bride Of Chucky
Jennifer Tilly is awesome in that movie. Even her voice over parts are well done. I love everything about the charactor Tiffany. The guy and girl annoyed me. It is nice to see the late John Rictor again, Even if it was just for him to die again... I wonder how much they had to pay to use Martha Stewarts name in the movie. Side note, this one came at a time where everyone was all about the soundtracks, not surprising this one was alot of Rob Zombie. Great songs but I don't really like a whole MTV oriented sound track. Oh and the honeymoon suit scene is the reason you should never have a mirror over you bed!
One more to go....
Seed Of Chucky
This is where the story loses me. I get it, I just think they should have gone in a different direction with it. It is kinda a let down for me. It was funny don't get me wrong but Glen? Glenda? Really?
Alright thanks for reading. Now I want to hear your thoughts. What one was your favorite? Why? What did you like about the series? What did you hate?
