I'm probably in the minority here but I actually liked The Lost World better than Jurassic Park III. I don't hate it as much as I did when I was younger. I watched it sometime last year I think and I enjoyed it more but it's still my least favorite one. ;D

I wondered what happened to the little girl. In the novelization of the film, Dr. Isaacs the Umbrella satelite to trigger the chip in Alice's head, and commanded her to shoot Angela Ashford (the little girl) in the head.
What was the catalist for Alice separating from the group. The survivors that Claire had rescued where scared of Alice after she used her psychic abilities to destroy the infected crows and so Alice parted ways. Or do you mean before all that? I suppose the toll in which Angela's death took on her. Or she just figured that she could move more quickly to save other people in need if she was by herself. Plus I didn't like that two of the characters (that I loved) from the previous movie were killed. One I could accept but both bugged me. I didn't mind their deaths. L.J. (Mike Epps) was only in the films for comedic relief, which wasn't really necessary if you ask me since the games were pretty dark. As for Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) at least he went out with a bang (more of a BOOM, really).

This one has the opportunity to be as kickass as the first one. Plus Alice is one of my favorite female movie characters.

I've never read the novelizations of any film...unless it was a book first then became a movie/tv show years later but I don't think that's what a novelization is. Isn't a novelization a fleshed out story of the movie as opposed to a book adapted into a movie? As for Alice being commanded to shoot Angela, as much as I hate that idea I would rather have that then just no explanation and for someone who has never read the novelizations I would have never known that. I would have even probably been ok with this information being in a deleted scene or something but from what I remember there was nothing like that. I meant before that. Since Alice was by herself in the beginning of the movie I was hoping for an explanation. Whether it was a passing comment that she went off on her own to look for surviors, I would have accepted that, or something much more detailed. However again from what I remember nothing was mentioned in the movie about why she separated from Carlos, Jill, and the others.

The enjoyed the novelizations for Resident Evil and Resident Evil: Apocalypse. I wonder if there is one for Extinction, I need to pick it up if so, to complete my Resident Evil novel collection (I also read the series adapted after the games by S.D. Perry).

Yes, Wyndam, there is a book based on Resident Evil: Extinction. Although I didn't know they had books that followed the games. Are they any good? And here's an interview by Shock Till You Drop with Resident Evil Tech: D. Eric Robertson on Visual FX. Beware, there are some spoilers. shocktilyoudrop.com/news/interviewsnews.php?id=14746And here an interview with the Writer/Director: Paul W.S. Anderson aka Milla Jovovich's Baby-Daddy.

That guy is such a douche. He's Uwe Boll level talentless. When I first heard about Resi 3D, I had hoped it would be a reboot. Shame. This guy will never do the series justice, probably just used the first film to bone Jovovich lol. I loved Matrix, I liked Matrix 2 and I hated Matrix 3. The only one that I disagree with was Jurassic Park 3, while not my favorite of the three it was my second favorite. I'm not a huge fan of the JP: Lost World. Yay to this. I agree. I absolutely loathe Matrix 3, it's such a limp ending to the series. I've often tried to edit it but there's so little to salvage. The 2nd isn't too bad except for the Zion orgy (lol), but it's pretty useless without a follow-up that delivers. I have issues with both Jurassic Park sequels, but I think 3 does a much better job at crafting an exciting ride. Lost World has a really odd pace, and I'm always bored after the trailers go over the cliff.

The author takes some liberties and fleshes out the characters really nicely. They are fun, quick reads.

I don't follow these movies because I really don't see the point. But I'm just wondering, is this is the first time we see Claire and Chris? Have there been many other characters from the games in the movies?

Jill Valentine was in the second movie, along with Carlos Oliveira. They were more or less similar to their game counterparts. The second movie was the only one that took a majority of its plot from a game (Resident Evil 3: Nemesis). Claire Redfield was in Extinction, but she isn't really all that similar to her game counterpart, and I doubt Chris will be either in the new movie.
If you separate the movies from the games though, then you can probably enjoy them for what they are. They aren't really "good" though lol.

Good to hear they atleast followed one plot though.

I kinda feel like the only person who likes the movies despite the fact they don't follow the game plot. They're kinda not really supposed to. I do like the fact that they do take elements from the game and this one seems element-heavy

I actually didn't mind Extinction, as I posted elsewhere, the fire + crows, kinda annoys me, but I suppose she is . . . growing. So much for Milla (not exact quote!) ' I probably won't do another Resident Evil, I think we've now covered everything.' From the trailer, I'm getting a much more Ultraviolet sense of acting. Maybe it is just Milla. Found Ultraviolet to pretty much be a direct port of the Resident Evil movies anyway. Just about everything about it was deja vu.

Nice to finally see the trailer in HD. I noticed at the end now that it is 2 Alice's that jump through the window. I figured it was Alice and Claire. I guess Alice's clones will be playing a role in this one.

I'm really looking forward to this movie. I've loved the past three movies, yes even the 3rd one. OK I now that Leon isn't in this movie but where was is ever said that Jensen would be playing him, or was it just a rumor?

It was mostly a rumour, although it was mentioned in a Supernatural magazine (not last issue, the issue before that). Pity that it was just only a rumour. I would have liked to see Jensen in this movie

Here are a couple of new stills from the trailer. Enjoy! The credit goes to dlm_316 from the IMDB boards for getting these. Albert Wesker in Resident Evil: Afterlife. The Majini Parasite (at least I think it is) in Resident Evil: Afterlife.

Looks pretty cool, although I'm wondering why Wesker has black hair in this movie looks like it's dirty blonde making him look kinda like he does in RE 5.
