As our favorite new editor soon to be ongoing Angel series writer recently confirmed at SDCC, Wolfram and hart would make a return in the next arc. With some time away from the big bads of Angelverse gotta wonder...what role will they play?
At the End of ATF we saw that they exhausted enough energy to either purposely or inadvertantly...make it seem as if they don't exist. But as the driving force of evil from day one of the show..heck even before that if you count Barbary coast's intrusion of Wolfram and hart it's fair to say they shouldn't be counted out just yet. I'm just curious to see what people think they may do in their next go around? Obviously they have their sights on Angel, but after ATF it may take a considerable show of force to show they are still power players.

I really hope they don't mess this plot up. It has so much potential, but could easily fall with one bad fact added.
I've gotta wonder: Who will take over Angel's old position. xD
And I'm kinda hoping to see Lilah in some way. And hope that she's in character. The one person I hope NOT to see is Wes. He needs to be left alone now, for as long as possible.

well My feeling is that the Willingham plot that will wrap up in number 38 will be well...wrapped up lol But the Stuff Mariah plans on incorporating im sure will mesh and compliment with the return of Wolfram and hart.

I wonder does the return of W&H have anything to do with Angels reasoning to become Twilight?Does something happen,or do they give him some info which leads him down that path

I wonder does the return of W&H have anything to do with Angels reasoning to become Twilight?Does something happen,or do they give him some info which leads him down that path I doubt it, since it's IDW and their writers making these decisions, not Joss. However, it's very easy to imagine they would be behind it. The recent events of season 8 look an awful lot like the Shanshu Apocalypse, and Twangel has been doing exactly what W&H would want him to do... help humanity surrender willingly to evil and be destroyed as a result. But W&H has never been a factor in BtVS before, and it might seem out of left field for them to suddenly appear as the Big Bads this late in the story.

I had this really weird theory when twilight was revealed which i'm almost certain isn't true since the books are done by different companies but I thought at one point that Angel, when he was killed and Brought back by Wolfram and Hart that he might be brought back as their new earthly manifestation since he was the only living member of the circle of the blackthorn but he didn't no it and when they decided they needed him they would activate/control him and eventually lead to twilight.
Obviously its not likely they are the reason he becomes Twilight but I really honestly wouldn't be surprised if they played some role, whether big or small.

Imo, I don't think W&H will have any part in Buffy whatsoever. That said, I am keen to see what happened to them and how they would be coming...if the writers get it right

I wonder if we'll see any returning W&H employess . . . Lilah perhaps? I miss Lilah.

Yeah, like I posted above, Lilah would be amazing to see again. As long as they don't mess up her character, of course.

Whatever happened to Eve? she was a "child" of the partners, even though she was made solely as a plot device on the show I wouldn't be surprised to see her in her old role as liason when the time comes.

^^^Seconded. Well, thirded. Eve was awesome. Like Lilah but slicker. Then again I think that losing Lindsey will probably have ruined the characteristics that made her such a good W&H employee.

A Lilah cameo is a must have, just as much as a Wes one is not. I also hope that Wolfram and Hart play a role in Angel becoming Twilight, even a small role like in AS4/BS7, setting the wheels in motion.

Oh yes-as much as I love and miss Wes...he needs to stay dead.
I would love if W&H has some role to play in Twilight.would make the events of season 8 a bit more palatable.

I'm really thinking this is going to be true. Since Darkhorse and IDW are trying to jibe the stories and since Mariah seems like she could write a twilight lead in on top of the fact she confirmed the return of Wolfram and hart I pretty much think one of two things will happen: They will either have a direct role in his becoming Twilight or they will reappear, tussle with Angel in some way and set him on the path inadvertently.

If I'm understanding it correctly, twilight or whomever is controlling wants the end to all magic. Why would W&H want that?

If I'm understanding it correctly, twilight or whomever is controlling wants the end to all magic. Why would W&H want that? It hasn't been made a hundred percent clear what Twilight/ universe wants. The implication may be that by creating that paradise like place, that the end of magic may come as a side effect rather than being the actual intention. As far as the end of magic goes too. The full extent of How much magic really is gone between the end of Buffy and Fray's time is unclear but based on the fact there are demons and vampires, and future willow seems to have a small amount of residual magic you gotta figure it doesn't all go away. And Wolfram and hart's role my guess is to more screw Angel over at this point for all the damage he's done to them rather than purposely set him up to be Twilight. More likely they may see that he hurts Buffy and does things he would never do if he became Twilight and nudge him knowing he wouldnt want to be that willingly, maybe even give him another Devil's bargain like when he took over the LA branch.
