I don't want the end of the buffyverse with the ending of all magic, I think it would be a cheap, VERY cheap, ending. Almost an insult to the 8 years that the show built up.

I agree!! Ending Buffy with the end of the supernatural would be distasteful.

Buffy should have its own ending, and Fray should stay...not in canon.

Fray was never not in canon, so it couldn't "stay" not in canon.

However, I don't see the need to link BtVS to Fray. BtVS should have its own, separate ending. Buffy doesn't HAVE to be the Slayer spoken of in Fray. And even if she is, it doesn't have to be how BtVS ends.

Buffy should have it's own ending that doesn't connect to Fray. I am not even a huge fan of Fray anyway. I love the Buffster.

I've never read Fray, but I don't see why they can't be connected. It just means Buffy would have to end AFTER Fray... right?

No Fray signals the end of Buffy's story...

Fray takes place a couple hundred years in the future, and speaks of a slayer with mystical allies banishing magic and demons from our earthly realm. Obviously it didn't work entirely...but I would hate for that to be the end of Buffy's story.

Unless Joss plans on continuing with Fray I don't like there to be a "be-all-end-all" ending like that.

I don't see why Buffy cant be the one that ends magic. I mean it would be the happy type ending people keep asking for I don't think ii would be cheap imo it would be great if it was down to them that magic ended. I mean they started this with all the slayers so why cant they end it? Fray would be cannon anyway even if Buffy didn't end magic. Fray is still part of the Buffyverse. I like Fray. don't see why when Buffy ends thats how it goes down.

I just mean that knowing what happens in the future gives the Buffyverse and it's characters in the current time an "ending". I remember Joss mentioning that he wants his characters to exist outside of the show, etc...but if this happens we really can't do that.

We know how it ends. Magic -does- get banished. There's really no questioning that.

I want the ending of Buffy to be something related to what we learned in Fray, but ONLY if Buffy doesn't die. Urkonn did say that he doesn't know if she lived or died. What if Buffy does get sucked into the portal thing, but the next couple of issues focus on the gang getting her out. Then everyone can be all happy, Buffy lives, no magic, happy happy happy.

But even if the Fray thing is not mentioned, I wont be disappointed. I wouldn't mind not knowing what happens.

As for the fray tie in, i think what would be really cool is if a fray 2 came out and totally teased us with what happened in the past. It would be amusing.

I believe Buffy and Fray will stay separate. Joss obviously has an idea of how Buffy will end, and we may see that one day, but for now I believe Buffy will continue, just as Fray probably will one day as well.

I don't think Buffy will continue with the Fray tie in because we already know ish what will happen and Joss like to pull things out of the bag and shock us.
I'm sure i read some where that they where planing on working on a new Fray arc. could be wrong

I believe that "Buffy" will end with b dying, with her death the age of magic shall pass therefore making easier the transition to the "Fray" era

Yeah, it's been said a lot over the years but I think the absolute only way that Buffy could end is with her death (not like The Gift, contrary to many I don't think that would make a good end) as the entire series is essentially about the life of one slayer.

I kind of don't like the way season 8 is going. It's not like any other season. Obviously, there is the whole comic thing, but it seems too serious. I feel like they are already setting up a new ending with the whole end of magic and Fray bit. I'm not really happy.
