I'm very curious about how many of you guys read comic books outside of Buffy or Angel. Comics actually got me into Buffy, not vice-versa. I read Hellboy, B.P.R.D., Runaways, Superman, Action Comics, Green Arrow, Teen Titans, Outsiders, Justice League of America, Legion of Superheroes, and a few other miscellaneous books as well as Buffy and Angel, and they're all fantastic. I'd like to know what comics, if any, the rest of you like.

I have read VERY few non Buffy or Angel comic.... for that matter, I think I have only read 5 Angel books. I have also read Fray as well but I count that as a part of the Buffyverse.
I read the TPB of the Serenity comics.
I have a graphic novel as well... which I guess kinda count as comics. The GN I have read is the Southland Tales prequil saga. I feel like I have read more GNs than that but it is all that ocmes to mind.
I find the while comics world to be very very confusing. Even if a title does spark my intrest, I am clueless as to where to find older issues to get started in it or what issue I should even start on because so many titles have side issues that do or don't follow the main story but do not affect the over all arc.... it hurts my head. For example, a while back, I was intrested in reading the Anita Blake series but I didn't even know where to start....same for Occult Crimes Taskforce (OCT). The issues I could find were so stupidly expensive that I instantly decided it was not worth further investigation. I guess I am pretty turned off by the whole comics world which is a shame becuase I was willing to give it a try!

I have not read Birds of Prey, although I do like Black Canary in her frequent appearances in Green Arrow. When i say comics got me into Buffy, I don't mean that it was Buffy comics. I actually started watching when I heard that Joss was takiing over my favorite book, Runaways. I was apprehensive, so I watched the first few episodes of Buffy, and became hooked when I saw the vampire with a fork for a hand in the fourth episode. To this day I still don't know why he was in that episode, since he didn't do anything, but he was hysterically over-the-top.

Buffy and Angel got me into comics - I have been buying back issues on ebay and in comic shops when I find them. Now I now also read: 1. The Runaways - starting with the Joss versions. But I will slowly pick up the TPB of the back issues so I get the story. 2. I also am collecting Anita Blake comics - note there are only 9 in total so far - issues 1 to 7, and a special 2 part standalone that came between 6 and 7. The reason I bought Anita is that I had read all of the books (its origins are in books, the comic is a test of the media)- and the books are much racier (i.e., erotica) than the comics. I enjoyed the novels quite a bit - good stories. The TPB is out (of the comics issues 1 to 6). 3, I also started collecting a new series called Madame Mirage by Top Cow that I haven't read yet but will once I get a chance to.
I've not counted the comics I read as a kid (pre-teens) which mainly consisted of Archie, Superman and Classic Comics (like Treasure Island) as that was many years ago and I didn't collect only read what others left lying around.

I heart Arsenal. Even without him, though, I'm loving the book. The team roster changes CONSTANTLY since the series reset as Batman and the Outsiders, but since Green Arrow appears to be joining soon I'm very happy. I heart him as well.

Arsenal has been one of my favorite characters for along time except for now I am not as big on the JLA Red Arrow version.
I miss him being Speedy (Except for the drug problems)

Y: The Last Man is a hugely great book, the tpbk of all the old issues are pretty well priced like $13.00. Written by Brian K Vaughn, who wrote The no Future for You series of BtVS season 8.

Also by Mr. Vaughn is Runaways, which I will say once again, is an amazing book. Really, if you liked Buffy, chances are very good you will enjoy Runaways, even if you don't like superheroes. It's very reasonably priced in trade at eight dollars a book. Joss is doing an arc, but I really wish he would go away because as much as I love him, he's pushed back every issue to months past it's original release date.

I love reading comics. I have different ones I like to read. I'm always interested in finding more. I love the works of Terry Moore, Brian K Vaughn...
i like Strangers in Paradise, Runaways, Y The last man, X-Men. Pretty much everything Marvel. Plus many more.
Webcomics are a huge obsession of mine too, but this probably isn't the place to discuss those.
And yes I'm a little upset Runaways has been so slow to release. I know Joss is busy and all, but there are deadlines and if he can't meet them he really needs to stop taking so much on at once. He'll burn himself out if he's not careful.
