Anyway I agree that Cordy sucked after Season 3 of Angel. When her hair went, so did her character lol. I wish things had gone differently with the show overall. I hated all the hair changes, but Im not sure her character sucked becuase of her hair. I just hated Evil Cordy. And I hated Season 4 in general because of Jasmine. I thought some of the smaller storylines were great, but i hated Jasmine.

I loved evil Cordy. She was great. And that storyline made for the best episode of season 5. The only sad part was that Cordy got herself dead. I was surprised that Angel didn't try to revive her once she was in the coma, with magics and the like. Especially after he began work at W&H. And The Beast, he was classic, reminded me of The Master for some reason.

I believe that they ruined Cordy's character in season 4, beginning with the end of season 3 when she became a Higher Being. Why did Charisma Caprenter got pregnant?

Cordy had the most changes of any character in either shows. But I just don't think they should have gone with the whole sleeping with Connor, turning evil and then a whole "oops it was never her all along" thing. I don't like it.
She got the vision power. Cool with that. I didn't like anything after they took her away to become a "higher power". Which now we know was all a lie to get Jasmine here. LAME!!
It sucks that they destroyed a character over the course of two seasons just for the sake of a "big not-so-bad" that was easily dispatched in the end.
I would rather they had put her in a coma since season 3, and blame it on her vision power...then have her come back in season 5 for You're Welcome.

I agree, which is really sad, as essentially it's wishing away a whole season of a character. It's true though. I didn't particularly like where cordy went in season 3, but it's nothing on the sheer frustration of what happened in 4. What they did with her was like stepping backwards or something, it was horrible. I have no problems with the actions at all (sleeping with connor and bringing down the world around the gang etc.) they would have worked well in another character (be it new, Gwen or even Kate comes to mind to be honest); but it's horribly forced into Cordelia's schedule. If she fell into a coma and disappeard at the end of 3 and returned for You're Welcome as you said it would have been awesome.

Cordy has sucked ever since she and gru took a 3 episode vacation in the middle of s3. When she came back she was too friendly and helpful, she wasn't the snarky kick ass cordy we know and love.

Wow, I just realized issue #1 comes out in November. I'll be buying it, since it's canon and all, but the fact I had no idea 'til 15 minutes ago when it started, that should tell you how eagerly I'm looking forward to it. *yawn* Not even close to the excitement I had for "Buffy S8", which is kind of odd, since of the two shows, I'm actually slightly more partial to "Angel". "Not Fade Away" was the perfect note to end the series on, so the idea of going beyond that, I'm kinda about. The whole point of NFA was that it didn't matter[/u] how that battle turned out, whether they won or lost. If they'd won, there'd just be another big battle somewhere down the road, and another one, and another one. The point was, evil will always exist, and being immortal, Angel will always be there to fight it, until he's finally knocked down for good. Unless the comics end on a similar moment, it's gonna be tough for them to top that. I guess I'm a little disappointed they're even gonna try...

I wounder how they get out of it then. I wounder if LA will get like over run with demons or somthing. and yays new smilies XD I have alway thought that maybe Will would come and save Angel and his Avengers take them some place safe, let them regroup themselves then let them "Go back to work" in the Demon Haven formally know as LA.

I'm looking forward to this. I can't wait to find out what happened in the alley. I hope theres an explanation as to why Buffy and the gang didn't get involved, maybe they didn't hear about it or something, who knows? Anyway I can't wait to get Issue #1 in November!

I hope Lorne's a major character... he was always my favorite on Angel.

I hope Lorne's a major character... he was always my favorite on Angel. I don't think that he will be major. Like he said in Season 5 He was leaving L.A. So maybe he got out before all Hell broke loose. I'm sure he will come into play sometime though!

I am so excited about this!!! Almost as much when Buffy S8 came out!!! :-) Possible spoilers ahead - provided Joss includes the ideas he revealed for Season 6 had it been made...
I hope that Joss puts in all the stuff they planned for the real Season 6 (i.e. the first couple episodes would have taken place either in a post apocalyptic LA and/or in another dimension/plane of reality where the Senior Partners exist, Willow coming back to help split Fred from Illyria with both of them around afterward, Oz coming back to help Jenny with her wolfiness (I was hoping he'd teach her to control it and activate it at will - I'm a sucker for cool powers like that <grin>, Gunn becoming a Vamp/Big Bad, and so and so forth. And I REALLY hope they tie up loose ends - not talking about the Alley per se, but rather the big unanswered questions (for example - who sent the Ninja Bots? How did they have such a convincing Dadbot for Wes? What became of Psycho Slayer Dana (she had said they were bringing her back - but presumably a lot happens in the Buffy world before this would happen)? And so on... :-)
I also really really hope Wes comes back (most likely at the hands of Illyria to help her understand the feelings she has for him which is something she's never experienced before). I also hope Cordy makes an appearance for real and not just in a flashback or something. And always curious what Dru has been up to!
As for the Alley Scene - I think we sort of already know the outcome based on what Joss revealed and the simple fact that there's no way they'd kill off any more major characters with Wes gone and Gunn turning into a Vamp (not sure this happens immediately following the alley fight, but probable). ANd as I said, I want Wes back! I totally dig what the above poster meant about the endings were all more than satisfying and very well done - anyone not cry when Wes was dying in "Fake Fred"'s arms? But despite this, I still want Season 6, so bring it on Joss - please!!! :-)
And back to the Alley again - I had envisioned a couple potential scenarios to open up the 6th season right where S5 left off. I've listed a summary of them below if anyone is interested!
The first one: The Fang Gang swings into battle and are quickly overcome...but just as they are all backed up against a wall with the demon hoards begin pressing in to finish them off - what's that in the sky? A flock of seagulls? A 747? No - it's dozens of Slayers leaping, swinging, and diving into battle and devastate the ranks of the the demons by kicking some major butt! The Fang Gang are inspired by this and swing back into action themselves. After a lengthy battle and many slayer deaths, the Fang Gang prevails. But LA has become a battleground and no one is safe. And the most troubling issue - Gunn went missing during the fight (there's no sign of his body, but hard to find him in the graveyard of demon bodies...
Second idea: Just as the Fang Gang are mere seconds from being overpowered, a magical force field appears around the gang and the demons can't break through! And as the storm worsens, lightning bolts strike out taking down demon after demon until the remaining demons flee. Willow reveals herself as she floats gently down from the rooftop she had been on and greets Angel and co. She has foreseen this event and was nearby on a mission for Buffy - and thus she decided to lend a helping hand. But the elation is short lived as they realize Gunn seems to have disappeared...
Third Idea: just as our gang is about to meet certain death - whoosh zip crackle pop! The Gang find themselves somewhere... but they're not sure where "there" is...It turns out to be the realm where the Senior Partners exist. Did the senior parters bring them to this place, effectively saving them? And if so, what is their motive? Shadowy figures appear in the distance and start making their way toward Angel and friends - just as they realize Gunn did not come with them..
P.S. Make sure there's lots of Willow! :-) Heck, this may even explain her absence at the beginning of Buffy Season 8!

It would be neat if Willow helped out. It would also explain what she might have been doing...but I am not sure if Buffy characters will appear at all in this. Season 8 takes place a year after the events in Season 5.
If you think about it...if Buffy never found out Spike was alive again it would be a big shock for her to find this out two years later! She's probably moved on and gotten past it.
OR WHAT IF THEY ALL DIE?!?!? AND THAT'S WHY THEIR NOT MENTIONED?!?!
lol

Iim really excited about these comics. More so than the Buffy comics. For me, Buffy was wrapped up well, we saw the Hellmouth Closed, once and for all, something Buffy has been striving for, since Season One.
Whereas Angel, i feel that it was just cut off. I imagine the opening scene of Season 6 would have been explosive. Could you imagine it? It could have just been a "previously on Angel" scene and show flickers of the battle. Then cut straight to the aftermath of it. Gunn, dead. Angel, Spike and Illyria, stumbling out of the Alley, or possibly just Angel and Spike.
God, just thinking about it sends chills up my spine. It was fair that Angel was dropped at such a pivotal point in Angels quest for redemption, which we never got to see. Its something that hes been fighting for since, well since before Buffy. ITS NOT FAIR!
I dont like the idea that they sacrificed themselves. Although Angel went like this to take out Darla and Drusilla, i just cant imagine him sacrificing his life (or unlife) to take out W&H, not exactly the biggest evil in the world. Considering that he had been returned to Earth, after Buffy killed him.
I just dont think of Angel or Spike, as suicidal?
Hopefully this comics will do the series proud and give us everything we need.
