It's definitely not a regular series, it's coming to an end around 15 or 16. But with the SPIKE books, that's almost 20 new ANGEL books, so that's good, right? Hoooray! Hey Brian...I know that the Angel characters are awesome and shiny and fun but I have a question for you. Once After the Fall is over, would you ever consider writing anything for Buffy? The writers for Season 8 are pretty much locked (except for one of the last arcs), but I think Season 9 is probably open. I'm assuming that Angel characters might make appearances in Buffy eventually...it would be great if you could write that!!! The reason I ask is that I feel you have the characters "voices" locked in! I'd love to see how you'd write characters like Willow, Xander or Faith! Plus seeing you write Angel or Spike, in Buffy would be wonderful.

They obviously can't make After the Fall a full series; spending that many issues trying to get out of hell would get a little old and they'd run out of ideas fast. But I'd want some sort of continuation after it's over. It worked for Gilligan's Island. I haven't been following ATF as closely as Buffy, they only sell the books at one store I've been able to find in my town and it only had issue 1. That being said, I like it. My dream scenario, contrary to what the rest may think, would be if Buffy switched over to an Angel comic for about six or eight books and left her series running on Xander, Faith, and Willow plotlines for a while. Then she could bring Angel over to her series for a while, leaving his to work with Spike, Illyria, and Connor plotlines. Then Angel and Spike could switch off for an issue, and Spike can leave, and things go back to normal for a while. Rinse repeat.

Joss Whedon: I do have plans for Spike, but the Angel franchise to which Spike defected is in fact owned by another comic-book company, so all that has to be worked out... and is indeed being worked out. (TVGuide) This was before season six was announced, though, right? I get the feeling 'indeed being worked out' was more to do with Joss sorting out a canon Angel continuation than it does legal issues. He's said before that he can and will use Angel and Spike in Buffy, but that - since Angel has his own story (and, now, so does Spike!) - he'd be using them sparingly. MB x

I'm in favor of keeping Angel and Buffy separate, but I feel like we really need some closure with Buffy and Spike. No, I'm not a Spuffy shipper, but Angel S5 irked me because Spike never did anything. Granted that was because SMG wasn't available/wouldn't do it/something.
After AtF ends (I'm operating under the assumption they get out of hell), Spike needs to cross over to Buffy for a standalone so that they can deal. That's my wish.

End After the Fall, get them out of hell, and give them new problems to face! Bring back Fred! Yes, that would be awesome for Angel Season 6 to start after ATF.
