He was never mentioned on the show I don't think. He may have been mentioned briefly in Robert Joseph Levy's Go Ask Malice: A Slayer's Diary though.

He was never mentioned on the show I don't think. He may have been mentioned briefly in Robert Joseph Levy's Go Ask Malice: A Slayer's Diary though. Thanks that's good news for me then as it leaves me free to create a father for Faith. My idea is for her to have a strong Faither figure role seen as her mum was a drunk. I am dying to read 'GO ASK MALICE' but can't find it anywhere. It's supposedly menat to be really good

If you're a Faith fan I highly recommend reading Go Ask Malice, it's the best Buffy novel I've read, well not including the Tales of the Slayers series.
Faith's Father is featured in the novel, he's in jail, although I can't remember what for. From memory he wasn't exactly a strong Father figure, he seemed absent in Faith's childhood, although he was in jail, I got the impression he was absent even when he was out of jail.
She actually get's her famous expression "Five by Five" from her Father. It's a cute and poignant moment.
Robert Joseph Levy captured the character of Faith so well. It was genuinely like a writer from the television series wrote the book. If you read the book, you'll notice many similarities between it and No Future For You. In terms of Faith's characterisation and dialogue. Which I found interesting, whenever I read No Future For You, I always wonder if Brian K Vaughan read this novel because the similarities are striking.

I'm glad someone could remember all the details of the novel. I have a horrible time remembering everything I read.

In the comic Faith says that her dad is in jail, and in another issue we see a flashback of how a man takes hold of Faith's arm and calling her a bad name. That may mean that her father was abusive. or perhaps that was an unknown male.

I've read the book too. If you like the character Faith, I recommend you read the book since it is her story. Other than the info on the dad, you'll understand why her character is like that.

Although not mentioned on the show, I always figured she had a terrible/absent father figure because of her perseption and attitude towards men.
