Feel free to post all of your comments/photos/views and opinions regarding DST's Drusilla/Oz/Wood/Judge Buffy The Vampire Slayer action figure line.
(We understand that these figures have now been spread around lines, but to keep the forum tidy all discussion of Faith and/or Giles figures should remain here - unless it requires a topic of it's own, which you are quite welcome to do.)

Dru seems to be amazing ! I'm glad to have new figures of her, 'cos only 2 Dru with i don't remember how many Spike .. it's unfair ! lol I don't really care about Oz .. and Robyn .. it depends on how he looks.

I love this wave although I wish that they wouldn't have altered it as I still want the other Dru figure and the other Oz figure. I figured that they would've had a "Chosen" Principal Wood figure instead of a "Lessons" Wood figure. Hopefully they will make a "Chosen" Wood figure as well as "Lessons" Buffy figure to go with the "Lessons" Dawn and "Lessons" Principal Wood figure.
As for the build a figure concept, it is the best thing that they could've done. I am hoping that even though the regular line will cease to exist that they will continue this concept with the Deluxe line having build a villian figures of Turok Han, Adam and so many others.

These Drus look better than the older ones, I like the way they mold her hair better. I haven't seen one in person yet, though, so I guess it's a wait and see.

Love em all. I don't think it would have hurt to have Previews exclusives of WAH Oz and Surprise Dru to make each wave 4 figures though.
I agree that BAF can save a floundering line. I was never interested in Marvel Legends until the sentinel wave and I think this could do the same for Buffy figs. Even hardcore fans wil be forced to buy all the figs (since what's the point in having two or three pieces of the judge lying around) and with no exclusives its great for sales. I think if it goes over well we will see it in Deluxe, starting with(prolly) The Beast in wave 4 with Connor, Gunn, and previews ex. Harmony. That's just speculation though.

I already pre-ordered them and my biggest thing is should I get 2 orders so I can have a Judge on display. I dont ever open figures but this going to almost make me have too.... not that pleased with double the figures to have one put togher... guess I can always sell the others for parts.....

Guys just a heads up, but it's been said that this line is in serious trouble, it may be cancelled. DST wants more pre-orders.
tommieandgary13, hehe I suggest buying the two sets.

This ticks me off. I only got the $50 gift card and reupped my membership because of this set and now it looks like it won't be made. I hope I can get a refund of money and not just another gift certificate. News like this has really made me lose interest in these Buffy collectibles.

Apparently this line has been unofficially cancelled!
There has not been an official word from DST as of yet, but there are multiple vendors online saying that DST has canceled these figures.
It's such a shame, I wish they would have chosen better characters to anchor this wave. I would have liked a new Buffy (just one) and less of Oz and Dru. I think when you have many different outfits, people are less likely to order them all!!!
Still, I think we should start a petition to save the Buffy figures and re-start the line with a new marketing method. I'm tired of two characters and a bunch of different outfits!!!

I'm all for the petition to be as it were in the MAC days, or at least the way it should be with one Buffy figure per wave and fewer variants. I agree that too many variants is never a good thing. The better way is to spread them out. Have each wave be based on a certain Season. With each line getting a figure of Buffy herself as well as a villian or demon. For example:
Wave 1: "Prophecy Girl" Buffy (newly sculpted), "The Pack" Xander, "Nightmares" Giles, "Welcome to the Hellmouth" Willow and The Master (newly sculpted)
Wave 2: "Welcome to the Hellmouth" Buffy (jacket and sunglasses), "Angel" Vampire Angel (with cross burnt on chest), "The Witch" Cheerleader Cordelia, "I Robot, You Jane" Jenny Calendar, Moloch the Corruptor
Wave 3: "When She Was Bad" Buffy, "School Hard" Vampire Spike, "What's My Line" Vampire Drusilla", "Halloween" Cat Cordelia, The Judge
Wave 4: "Becoming" Buffy, "Becoming" Angelus, Full Werewolf Oz, "Halloween" Sexy Ghost Willow, Ethan Rayne
Wave 5: "Halloween" Victorian Buffy, "Whats My Line" Kendra, "Surprise" Drusilla, "Phases" Oz, Kulak
and so on, with the first Season getting two waves and the other seasons getting 3 waves. They don't even have to go in order and could be switched up. Having a Buffy per line as well as a villian or demon is the better way to go. This would allow us to get more characters that were not made as well as new versions of characters that could be better. This would fill in the gaps along the way of characters that we always wanted to see as well as characters from our favorite episodes.
It's sad to see DST give up on this license altogether to make room for all of the other licenses that they currently have.

I love that idea Buffyfan. Any one of those figures would be great.

What irks me is that DST said that the wave was cancelled because they didn't get enough pre-orders.
About six months ago the website allowed pre-orders, but for the past...maybe four months...the option to pre-order items from their website has been turned off.
How are we supposed to pre-order figures if the option is no longer available for us?
Maybe it's a fluke--maybe DST PTB didn't know the option was turned off.
I've e-mailed them and hopefully they'll respond, but the inability to pre-order is *certainly* an issue that should be brought to DST's attention by the fans.
