Seriously, when I first read Saga's part in Issue 10 I thought it was a fill-in and we would never hear about her again. How important do you think she is? Because she has been mentioned again....

I thought that she was important when she first made an appearance in #10, and was anxious to learn more. So I'm glad that they're actually picking up where they left off, and we're learning more about her (like her name, if it's really her name, and not a reference to some other master witch). I think her importance lies in expanding Willow's character, but hey, could be wrong. Still interested in finding out though.

I thnikshe ahs more to do with Willow and her fear of death and loss and less or nothing to do with Kennedy, I bet that Kennedy's ressurection occured after Wils adventure wit Saga Vasuki Also has anyone checked out what'behind the name? Vasuki was a great seprent in Asian mythologies and the legends about him evolved around destruction AND immortality

I think Saga Vasuki has more to do with Willow's mystical walkabout than anything.

Yes it has to do withthe mnystical walkabout but the uttermost reason behind the connection between them is Wil's fear of death and loss amongst the things i mentioned earlier

I haven't read the newest issue yet, so I cannot say whether I agree with that statement or not.

I am still not sure. Thou it has been suggested Willow is being a pimp and getting it on with the snake lady cheating on Kennedy. I think it has to do with Willow wanting to solve her problems thru magic again.

I have a feeling she will play into the main story(twilight)a bit. As I said in another thread she showed Willow in the last chapter a burning New York City with the Scythe over it. This could be the reason Buffy goes into the future, Saga Vasuki shows her whats happening in Fray and tells her that Buffy needs to get the information on the final Slayer ending magic form the future. Something along those lines.

Yeah I'm really interested now. I thought it was just a filler. Can't wait to learn more. I think that she gave Willow her powers which are similar to Kumiko's and that's why, because Saga was both their tutors because they both went on the "6 month mystical walkabout".

Has it ever been mentioned that Kumiko went on a 6 month mystical walkabout?

I think there is more to her then we know just yet. She just might be pulling some not yet seen strings. Willow might owe her something that Willow hasn't "paid" for yet. I still think that it is a little too soon to tell.

What I am thinking, and fearing, is that this is leading to Willow betraying her more and more. Saga looks like a Demon and the last picture of her made her look like an evil one, not this nice one shown in the first picture. I hope hope hope that willow won't be the one betraying her.

I didn't give much thought to her importance while reading Anywhere But Here. I looked over it completely. Wow, Willow did the wacky with a demon... moving on. But now, I think Saga Vasuki could have a pretty major role in the future of Season Eight.

I agree that Saga Vasuki will play a big role in the development of Willow this season.I'm not sure if she will have a positive or negative influence, but I am very curious to find out

Here's what I have on the mythological creature Vasuki:
"A giant serpent of Hindu mythology. It is said the gods and demons used him to churn the sea of milk. The strain caused him to exhale incredibly potent venom, but Shiva swallowed it."
Hm.

I think Saga Vasuki will definately play a big role in once again revisting the darkness inside Willow. All this time we've sort of thought Willow had made peace with her addiction to magic and letting it control her life...but clearly there is something sinister about Vasuki. I can't wait to find out more.

I think she is GOING to be important. I have a feeling Willow is going to go through some serious changes the next arc and Saga vasuki is the start of it all.
