Currently Buffy is pretty upset with Giles, so it will be interesting to see how she talks and interacts with him. Perhaps she might realize how much she misses having him in her life? I can certainly hope, can't I? Wyndam that is an excellant thought. Heres hoping this is true it will lead to Buffy realising how she acted back in No Future For You was wrong and this issue could end with her caling Giles and just saying "hey" and then one last panel of Giles cleaning his glasses. lol I doubt this will happen but I sorley miss Giles in season 8, I thought he would be her second in command or something like that but he has been thrown out the Scooby camp.

I can certainly hope, can't I? Please, yes! I hope she reacts this way to all the other characters too, but especially Giles. She mentions how she almost forgot what it's like to be Scoobies. Maybe she'll have some kind of epiphany and the gang will slowly start coming together again. It's one thing I've wanted to see all season.

I really loved the preview, the art is better than I imagined it would be. So I have read that this issue is going to be released Dec. 17th, but the article above (which was published today) states Dec. 10th as does DarkHorse.com....which is it? Its looking like the 10th

I think this sounds awesome. I can't wait to see her interactions with Joyce, Giles the scoobies, and of course, Angel.
I'm hoping she'll remember what it was like when she loved and was loved in return and will get out of that "stuck in the past" feeling so prevalent from season 6 on.

I mirror everyone's thoughts on craving some serious Scooby bonding. That dynamic has been missing for eons. I hope we are about to get it back.
Also really cool that she asks Angel for advise. I can't wait to see how they interact considering she is season 8 Buffy and knows a lot of things that he doesn't. I have wondered for a while if she will try to distance herself from him, saving and changing a lot of things in the future. It would tie in with a few odd things from ATS. In any event, I am really looking forward to this issue. I wish it were going to be longer.

Hmmmm. I'm not in love with this concept yet. I need to see more. Based on the preview there is not hint to any sort of story; just a bunch of familiar interactions. I'm not saying I won't like it, 'cause its still Buffy, I just want to see where this is going....

I think everyone would like to re-live some aspects of their past so I think that is why Buffy is acting this way. Let's face it, her life kinda sucks. I do not blame her for wanting to live in simpler times.

Ok I know i may be jumping the gun but that is so HARSH what she says about Cordelia's future to Willow. What a bitch! Yeah, Cordy was bitch back in the day but she didn't die that way at all. Will Buffy also add "hey maybe Cordy will be a better character than me and even evolve more than I ever did before she dies" lol argh Cordy proved to be a better woman by her end anyway

lol that truly only shows the pettiness of YOUR character. i mean i know these are tv characters but you're showing your ignorance by saying that people can't be redeemed and deserve poor treatment in return.
and furhermore MANY people could argue just how awful Willow and Buffy came to be in later years. Hell Willow was PURE selfish in a lot of her reasons and tried to END the world. At least Cordy's evil gig wasn't her fault.
Cordelia had a GREAT character progression
As someone who voted no on prop 8 i'd think you'd have a bit more compassion for character traits eh eh...le sigh...

I agree that what they did with Cordelia and how she grew as a person was handled really well, but you have to understand that Buffy wasn't there for all that, and she is pretty much just joking around because this is clearly not real, the entire point of that scene was to point out the huge difference in everyone's lives between then and now. Or you could just maddeningly curse jeph loeb *grumbles something about ultimates 3 and heroes*

The art looks fantastic. I might pick this issue up if I can find it.
(Why the hell are there loads of people with Warning Levels?)

OMG, Buffy died, she knows there's a heaven and that Cordys in a better place, it was just a comment she made, that in the future Cordy is going to die...not that big of a deal

I sort of read it as, Future Willow was a big old sorceress (even if she's right evil), and because its like, what, 300 years into the future or something, she assumed Cordelia was long gone? Just a thought

I am so excited for this issue! It made me so nostalgic. I enjoyed every part of this preview except for Buffy's Cordelia comment. I thought I was just being knit-picky until I got to this discussion. I understand why Buffy said it but the taste level is so just beneath her. That comment was just poor taste.
I loved the scene when Snyder took Xander's board away. Now we know why Xander's board suddenly disappears in S1, story-wise. Logistically, we know it's 'cause Joss thought it was a pain.
As much as I like seeing Snyder, part of me wonders how much Buffy would have liked seeing Principal Flutie again. Not only was he NICE but he was also the only principal that wasn't aware of the Hellmouth.

Just a thought Huh, maybe so. In that regard, it's not hurtful to say Willow will live for a long time to become an ancient sorceress and Cordy will be long dead. If this was the intended implications of Buffy's statement, it really didn't come across well, however.

Just a thought Hey, nice way to give some sort of positive thought on what Buffy might have meant on that one. Karma for you!

After reading the previews it brought a smile to my face -- it reminded me of the simpler times with Buffy; when it was just her, Willow, Xander and the humerous lines Giles used to say. I liked how Buffy interacted with her friends by saying stuff like "Hey, maybe he'll get eaten by a giant snake and you'll wear an eye patch and be in conrtol of hundreds of women" and things like that. What I think will happen in this issue: I think this issue is about Buffy recooperating after such a traumatic experience of the season 8 story arc "Time of Your Life". I'm hoping there is an explanation that all this is happening other than having a dream -- possibly it is a vision that in the end of it will help her in the longcoming; or possibly some sort of realisation of how hard she's making her life seem when she could make it as easier as it was in the first season of the show. What I want to Happen in the Issue: Two things I want this issue to be about: 1. In this issue, i think it would be so cool if she went through all of her life over again in this one-shot to try an change everything to make her present life a better place; finding a way to save Joyce, stopping Warren before he kills Tara, things like that and so at the end we see them in several pannels all happy and with the people they love. Then right at the end of it, on a full page panel, she wakes up with tears in her eyes (could be a two panel thing - her waking up - then her crying). Either way I think it would be a great character development for Buffy, to show us that no matter how strong she is, that no matter how good of a fighter she is, she's still only human. 2. I think another good thing for this issue to be about is the complete opposite to my first idea (this one including Jo Chen's cover art). I think that it should be about Buffy remembering a simpler time to when her and her friends were all alive and healthy. In the end of this issue, it should show buffy waking up with her two best friends beside her (Xander and Willow) watching the television. Willow's eating popcorn and Xanders cuddled around the television watching in as Buffy leans forward from the cushion or whatnot she's fallen asleep on as we show a panel of her normally, no expression on her face; then another panel of a smile growing; then another of her fully smiling; then ending with a full black panel. I know you may think I'm rambling and that the script and comic is already done, but this is what I wish it would be about and hope that some of my ideas would be in it. Tell me what you think about my idea, good, bad?

I think they're both two good ideas, even if they do contrast I'd be happy to read either. Just read the preview and really suprised to find myself excited for this now. I was expecting myself to hate this. I should be going into town next wednesday as well, i just hope they'll have it in =]
