I hope she's not becoming immortal. I think her powers in season 8 have already became a little over the top.

I think it would be a good arc for her, if she lost all her powers (at least for awhile)..so she has to be a normal person again and it would be cool to see how she deals with it..

I know! Just because she's super-god-powerful doesn't mean she has to look it. Her, Xander, and Buffy can still put on stylish clothes now and again.. I mean what happened? There should be an arc on why they lost their sense of fashion. GEESH

I miss Willow's style from season 7. She had some really cute outfits, awesome hair and just looked great. The "oooo I'm a witch" renfaire dresses are getting a bit much.
OMG does the end of magic actually mean the end of fashion? Now I know what side Buffy will be fighting on!

I think that Willow got some of her powers and learned more magic from Saga Vasuki's teachings. I can't wait to find out what she's actually doing. And also, I like your theory about immortality because Warren's lobotomy didn't affect her. Now she may of healed herself but she may be immortal too.
And Kumiko was a student of Saga too, so she may be immortal as well. Remember, disregarding the fact that she was stabbed with a knife in the heart not a stake, we didn't see Kumiko dust either. I like your theory a lot.
I KNOW! The clothes are getting silly. I miss the fashionable scooby gang. Even though it may be ridiculous, I think that Dark Horse should hire a costume designer.

I like Willow's style. I think the dresses are very her. I doubt she'd become immortal because of what Tara thinks of her. I doubt she'll become immortal at all.
That would mean seeing everyone she knows die at some point. Idk, doesn't seem like a Willow thing. I think Saga Vasuki has somethign to do with Kennedy's death. OR, maybe in one of the issues, as the final panel, Willow will open her door and she Tara. Maybe Saga Vasuki could help her bring her back, or maybe Tara being ripped out of heaven is a price for something. Ah, I need help!

Echo that, buffyfan21! Please Dark Horse, we need a stylin' costume designer. I don't care if it sounds silly if it'll add something to the aesthetic of the comics.

Well, Joss always has some meaning in everything, so maybe how she's dressed has something to do with her path? Iono. Just a thought.

Know what else would rock? If she put on some normal f*cking clothes again. I don't mean a t-shirt and jeans, I'd settle for wacky Season 4-7 Willow. I think she's still beautiful, and the dresses look neat in some shots. But come on. Does she ALWAYS have to be dressed for the Renaissance Festival?! I couldn't agree more! Although I liked how Willow looked in WATG part 4 when she floated Buffy and Satsu up from the ground to the top of that building. That panel looked fantastic, and the outfit complimented the situation. In other scenes, such as the final page of WATG when Willow is summoning Saga Vasuki, what the [censored!] is on her shirt!? It's horrible! And that white shirt with that horrible pattern that Xander is wearing underneath his yellow top, unless that's a sign that Xander is Twilight I wish they wouldn't have disgusting designs like that. Buffy did look cute in WATG part 4 though. I loved her jacket. Her entire outfit was nice. But Willow needs other outfits, in other colours! Regarding Willow trying to acheive immortality, I think it's a very possible scenario. It would also make for a very interesting storyline.

I think Saga Vasuki is a higher being that lives in a pure magic dimension and Willow has been making some visits. However, I like your theory Mikey. She could be on her way, but is anyone ever immortal/mortal in the Whedonverse?

Leaving aside vampires, where the metaphysics of who the vampire actually *is* are pretty sketchy still, there are a couple instances of putative immortality for characters in their present state. - Anya, as a vengeance demon, was at least tacitly immortal. She considered herself to be, at least, based on her crisis in 5.03 "The Replacement".
- Eve (and presumably Hamilton) were tacitly immortal in Angel Season 5. Eve refers specifically to this in 5.17 "Underneath".
- Drogyn, the battlebrand, was granted "eternal youth over a thousand years ago", per Wesley in 5.21 "Power Play".
It's worth noting, "immortality" in fiction such as this is up for grabs in terms of meaning. All of these examples, and vampires, are cases of "immortality" meaning someone who simply won't die if left to their own devices, but can all still be killed. If Willow were after immortality, and the more definitive kind in which she is literally incapable of dying at all, that would be the first time its been encountered in the Buffyverse.

Hmm i hve to agree with the fact that one of Willow's motives for her actions could be Tara, in one form or the other. I dont think htat she wouldn't wish to die for she would feel scared of meeting the blonde witch in the afterlife but given the fact that she now deals with more pure and higher level magics she could find a way to see Tara again, whether it would be for a few minutes or a lifetime that only she knows and that for Wil would be a very big deal to enter the world of primal magic. And for the record i do think that Wil had sex with Saga lots of times in order to gain her confidence and allowance to learn really advanced forms of magic ,magic that make assist someone on his path to immortality. Besides, sex magic is pretty powerful

I also liked what Buffy is wearing in 'Wolves At The Gate part 4' and Willow as well in that issue, but those flowy dresses don't need to be used all the time. They should change her a little, like in 'No Future For You parts 3 and 4' where Willow was in jeans and a white top with shoes. Looked nice and was a nice change. Mix it up a little.

Yes, the dresses bother me!!!
Also, let's think back to in AWBH when Buffy finds out someone is going to betray her...is that Willow? Connected with Saga Vasuki? (Or maybe it's Twilight (cause its someone Buffy knows)).

I bet Saga Vasuki brought or taught Willow to bring Kennedy back to life and Willow probably owes her a favor. Willow went through a major transformation. From book worm straight high school student to powerful lesbian witch. And all in between. And she also filled out. ( . Y . ) I hope she doesn't become immortal, she would watch all her friends die.

I think she's on the path to becoming dead. So no, not immortal.
I like her costumes, but they kind of all look the same. She could use a little variety at the very least.

Ok Willow becoming immortal - boring. How interesting would it be to have a character who can't be killed ( like she could be killed now)? Saga could have something to do with Twilight because of the Scythe in WATG. And Wills clothes is nice, but give the girl some 21-th century clothes!
