Mikey- I believe the operative phrase in henz post was: you're the only one HERE who thinks... The point being, yeah, loads of people don't give a rat's ass about the figures- but you're the only loser who is spending time dedicated to something he doesn't think is worthwhile.

I would gladly support Equality Now. But it would be hard to generate interest in my cause without an incentive, like dinner with Joss.
That can be for another time/place. Right now this thread is for the Buy-a-Figure Day. Furthermore, it's not the time for opposition either, if that's what you wanna do find somewhere else to vent. Keep on, and I'll delete your posts and possibly more. We don't need to read a bunch of bullshit.

An update from CINEQUEST:
Hi, Philip! Thanks so much for contacting us!
You’re correct…we were instrumental in the first saving of the Buffy line. And we’d love to see it keep going and participate in your Save Buffy Figures campaign.
We’d be grateful for the inclusion in the campaign. Let me know what you need from us to help. We’ve supported international buyers where many other sites have abandoned them so it’s nice to have been thought of. One thing, though, if the poll decides supporters will purchase something we don’t have enough of, it will be a problem. If it is something we have good stock on, we’re willing to discount it on that day to make it easier for a statement to be made. We’ll, of course, share overall sales numbers (how many of that figure was sold in a day) with you and with DST.
On another note: DST told me last week they would be open to discussing doing some of the cancelled figures as exclusives.
The problem at this point is that so many of us exclusive holders have lost so much money in the past two years on the Buffy exclusives that DST is clearly having trouble getting anyone to agree to do an exclusive. That was why they put all the figures into those two mixed cases in the Build-a-Judge wave, many were exclusives that DST couldn’t sell.
One thought I had was that together we pick an exclusive most of the fans want and we would explore the possibility of doing the exclusive with DST. There will be a minimum order quantity that we would have to agree to to get the figure made (usually between 3k and 4k figures). We then work together to get fans focused on buying that one exclusive; if we hit the goal of the minimum, we’ll know it’s worth making (i.e. we won’t lose $22-30 on it) and we go forward with making a deal with DST. It’s just an idea but one that “prove” that the fans want a particular figure by voting with their orders.
Anyway, thanks again for thinking of us and let me know what we can do to support your efforts. Buffy figures and fans of them have been very good to us over the years – and most of us are Buffy collectors as well – so we’re willing to pitch in.
Thanks and cheers!

Hey Mickey ~ We just did a charity event from the Buffy fans and raised 15,000 dollars for the Make-A-Wish foundation on August 4th and granted 3 wishes. And you now how we did it? Auctions of Diamond Figures signed by the cast and including figures that were not made yet and deluxe willows for our attendees so people want the figures in line with giving to charity.

Oh and before someone else whines about me voicing my opinion, this is a forum. There's a little thing called free speech. We are not robots who must bow to and praise everything Buffy. I'm allowed to have my opinion, and unless I'm doing something against the rules or being abusive, it's unnecessary to threaten me with "STOP YOU, WITH YOUR EVIL WORDS!!! OR I WILL DELETE YOU!!!" posts. If you don't like my opinion, then say it. That's why we have a forum, it's where we discuss things. Silencing people = bad. I don't mind people voicing their opinions, but you're only doing this for attention. I've noticed you're not setting up any causes for charity on this board, so stop using the greed card to defend yourself. People like material things. It may not be godly, but there it is. Maybe you should have spent the money you used on pink hair dye on food for starving people. The fact is, you're a bitter bastard who wont let anyone enjoy something that you don't. It's pathetic, and the only thing that consoles me personally; is that you clearly have nothing better to than bash someting you have nothing to do with. Go get a friend or something. Hows that for voicing an opinion? (don't silence me. boo hoo.) I made a deal with a very nice person over on BTVSfigs, and I'm in.

Mikey, lucky for you Phil forgot to post the rules way back when. He said he would and he forgot. So the only rules are no bad language or ill words. Phil should work up some rules.

Considering your continuation of posts in this forum, putting down the forum's campaign after being asked not to... YES!!!

Oh bull. Without our back and forth posts, this would barely be one page of posts, I'm hardly disrupting anything. How about instead of insulting me, you listen to what I'm actually saying and comment on it? Answer my questions maybe? Instead of throwing around insulting names, making fun of my hair, or just completely flaming me for voicing an opinion and trying to have a discussion about it. I didnt make fun of you or talkk about your hair. But I know from experience that answering your questions doesn't do anything but get you to continue and ask more. And this thread did not start as a way for you to go on an on about DST and the figures. It was started to [glow=red,2,300] support [/glow]a campaign. And there is more to a forum than number of posts in a thread. How about member appreciation? Do you appreciate having a forum to come and discuss Buffy with other fans, a forum that's actually really, really cool?! Or do you appreciate having another place to bark at and have people want to see your posts just to see what bs you're going at now? You don't have to answer that, because unlike most of us, you seem to appreciate the latter.

Do you even realize that I had no clue about this thread until the second page was already started? You must have been going on yourself, without my help, since the reason there is a second page is supposedly because of you.

Uh huh. Once I saw the second page started with Phil's threat, I had to know what was going on.

This is my last post as a reply to yours in this thread. Every time you get in an argument with someone, you end up telling them they are repeating themselves, so ya know what, if I dont continue to post, then I won't be repeating anything.
