I wasn't taking the piss out of your hair mate. Do what you like with it. Just seemed like a natural comparison to you saying we're all wasting our time and money on these toys.
You shouldn't be in this thread. Plain and simple. You have nothing productive to add, and are therefore spamming over and over.
And btw, I still think you're a bastard (I'll deal with the punishment later.)

Henz, all you'd have to do was put a star somewhere in the word and you wouldn't get in as much trouble as you may get in.

I registered just to say I'm totally in. I collect Buffy figures anyway so I'm definitely in. Great Idea btw.

Not cool with the flaming. Personal insults are never tolerable under any circumstances.
There's a huge difference between stating an opinion and bashing someone. PM's sent. I hope that will be the end of that.
Mikey's made a point. Take it or leave it, like it or not.

I will be buying as many as I can to show support for the line, which I have done with every single wave, yet I am not holding out any hope that it will do any good. At least I can say I tried and that is all I can do. I would also like to point out that every single wave of figures has consistantly placed in the Previews top 20 sales lists for DST. The sales have not "tanked" as some would lead you to believe. The problem is that they have made so many figures in such a relatively short time, as well as a glut of other products, that as the Buffy fan base has shrunk, the supply has simply outweighed the demand. As far as it being fact that the figures are all crappy, that is simply a matter of opinion and in my opinion is not true. I think they are wonderful. If the figures were as crappy as has been stated they would never have lasted as long as they did. What other comparable license can say they have over 100 figures? Charmed? Smallville? The Buffy/Angel action figure line is very special and I wish they would continue to make them forever, or at least long enough to get characters like Riley, Adam, Gunn, Harmony, and Doyle.

True that ^ If I was chosing one last figure to come out, I'd go with Gunn. I know chances aren't good though lol. As for ways of getting these remaining unreleased figures out I vote Willow's Spelllbook II, containing the remaining deluxe Willow's. The first spellbook was the most successful boxset released, and one of the first things released. Quite a nice bookend I thought.

Okay some announcements from Kevin @ Time and Space Toys:
Hi Philip-
I'm writing briefly to touch base and relay our plans thus far. At this time I have not received any specific plan of action from DST as to how best to arrive at a compromise product that could be made to substitute for the Judge wave. It is clear however, that this wave cannot proceed as planned, as economically it cannot succeed based on the decline in orders. This does not mean that only pre-orders are considered, but when a lines pre-orders are about 1/10th of normal, you can assume that live orders will not make up that difference.
However, what is possible is that through your efforts to energize the fans, we can come up with a end game product or asst that would be handled as a TST exclusive and would encompass elements of the canceled figures. I have been trying to discuss this with DST and arrive at a possible product. This potential product may need to be produced at a much lower number than previous Buffy figures and thus may need to have a higher retail price (it's an economics formula).
My plan is to poll customers with several product options (ie. maybe a 3-pack, maybe a single figure exclusive, etc.) I will list numerous possibilities on our BCC site in time for your panned Buy-A-Figure day Wednesday. So when customers are shopping for the new DLX Willow wave (which arrive here on Wed) they will be able to vote on what they would buy if it would exist. Then we can collect that real data and present something meaningful to DST. In addition, I am opening the access to the BCC to everyone for that one day, Wed, Aug 29th. There will be no ID code required to enter the site all day Wed until midnight PST. That way anyone can participate in the poll and also shop for the figures at discount prices. Just to let you know, the sales numbers on the dlx wave three are down too, so any boost in sales there would be a big help in getting DST to take notice. Our order is only about half of past orders, and it is also only about half way sold through (that's ΒΌ of what DST usually gets from us). Ironically, our Judge wave sales numbers were much higher than the dlx wave three, but there are not many other stores supporting that wave. We want those figures back in some form to sell!
The BCC already does ship internationally. TST does not. So when the BCC site is open to all, anyone could order there during that one day. I would encourage fans to buy from all supporters of the line (ie DST partner stores) like Cinequest, AFX and DST directly, as it is easier to get something done when more than one entity is pulling for it. Another thing that will help, it to buy past exclusives, (buy Cinequest's past exclusives from Cinequest, AFX's exclusives from AFX and our exclusives from BCC). The reason for this is we all stopped carrying exclusives because they stopped selling through enough to make a profit. Each of these stores lost money on some of the later exclusives and thus we all still have a large unsold supply of them. Selling them through would help convince the past partners to take another look.
Just another thought...international buyers really should buy from one of the international retailers like Forbiddon Planet. The reason is, with every exclusive box set we have had in the past, (Spellbook, Vengeance, Family Album) the international reatilers made it possible to continue, as they buy a certain number that is important to get the overall production number were it needs to be. In the case of the Watcher's Guide, it was to be our exclusive too, but in the end, the international buyers were not enough, so we were left with a too high number and could not proceed. DST was cancelling that product, but in the end we committed to a pretty high high number of purchases and those along with the Previews numbers got it done. If we are going to get another box set done, the international retailers may make the final difference. When international buyers buy from the US, it sends the wrong data to those stores and thus the international support gets lost. I believe the best approach is for US buyers to buy Cinequest exclusives from Cinequest, AFX excl from AFX, DST excl from DST, TST excl from TST/BCC, Bill's Bricks Excl from Bills Bricks and all new DLX Willows from any of those stores. Then international buyers should buy everything from the stores that support their region, like Pixal Barrel for Canda, Forbiddon Planet for UK, etc.. Anyway, I will be adding the earlier mentioned info to our site and also to our newsletter tomorrow. Thanks, Kevin

Just an idea. I think we should not just buy from a set number of stores. There are other places online such as amazingtoyz.com, scifigenre.com, bigbadtoystore.com etc... I think we need to spread it out a little so that all retailers are noticing a spike in sales not just a couple.
Plus the fact that the BCC have worst costumer service when it comes to international members (still waiting on that refund since 2006!!!). Scifigenre.com have some very good international shipping rates.
Also, it may be wise to delete all that banter earlier in this thread. If people are coming here to read about the cause it doesn't look good if 90% of the topic is negative. Like I said earlier, this thread should be about motivation and positivity.

Just put my order through at the BCC. Bought the full set of the Willow deluxe wave, and the Angel/Spike deluxe set with variants. Got a couple of cool free figures too. So that is 8 figures to put towards the tally!

Guys don't forget to vote at the BCC. They've put up 8 options for the next (and probably last) Buffy figure product, including many of the unreleased products and Gunn! yhst-14329185242624.stores.yahoo.net/index.htmlIt's open to everyone today so there's no reason not to vote. GO DO IT!

Could somebody add my 8 figures to the tally on the BTVSfigs forum. I'm not a member there, but would like to see them being added. Cheers!
