I'm pretty sure they're already together, and have been since somewhere between #25 and #26.
(It's because he saw her naked in #25. No man can resist Naked Dawn. Which sounds like a Vin Diesel movie.)

lol! There has been a lot of sexual tension between these 2 for awhile now, I do think something has happened between them that we haven't seen yet.

Don't use the excuse that Dawn used to be his kid sister. Things change. Think Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. I KNOW they were only a year apart but didn't he treat her as his kid sister? No one had a problem with that. At this point in time, Xander would be 28 and Dawn would be 22. That's an acceptable age difference at that point in their lives. Actually, I have a huge problem with the Harry/Ginny relationship for that reason. That...and I don't care for Ginny. But that's not the point. I wanted to ask if Xander actually is 28 by now. Isn't season 8 based a year and a half after season 7? So wouldn't Buffy/Willow/Xander be around 24-25? I just wanna know. And just to stay on topic with the thread, still not liking the whole Xander/Dawn thing...

Well they said it started off a year and half after "Chosen" but in issue 23 Andrew makes a reference to Heath Ledger dying which would place them in 2009 in the newest issues.

If it happens it happens, I don't really mind. But now I worry something bad might happen to them because...well look what happen to almost every couples in the Buffy verse.

I see, well if that's the case then it really is only a year and a half after Chosen, because I remember the writers saying that the pop culture references were going to be recent (2009ish), despite season 8 taking place before then. So yeah, ages 24-25. They really should keep the pop culture references to a minimum because it's just confusing people, lol >.<

The only thing that bothers me about possible Dander is that then there would be no Bander. 'Cause that would be too weird and soap-opery. And I so root for Buffy/Xander, since Buffy has obviously no future with Spike nor Angel, unless she actually will become a vampire.

Jeanty basicually just confirmed that Xander and Dawn are getting together.
Jeanty: "but Mr. Harris has become a very well rounded desirable individual that's why I don't think it's any surprise when he and D... you almost got me there."
He obviously doesn't care about spoiling us... lol.

Yeah, unless Xander is hooking up with Drusilla or Dracula, it def looks like Dander is a done deal. (How do you like my alliteration there?)
Interesting to note that Georges just said he doesn't know how far they've gone together, though... which might mean this relationship isn't directly addressed in the story until quite a bit further on.

Could Dawn be killed off now because of this? I kind of want her to be... but by turning back into the key used to shatter the veil separating all dimensions, and playing her part in the end of magic, and by doing this Buffy sacrifice in ‘The Gift ‘would not be cheapen, but if it even more grounds.

Interesting to see that Yes now almost has as many votes as No. Dander supporters are catching up!

So D/X is on. Either this is the worst kept secret of the season, or they are throwing us a bone because of the other big unknowns, or this is one big mislead. I feel like Jeanty could have easily said Xander and ... without adding the D. It seems oddly placed, and D/X seems too easy of a conclusion. Also the way he worded his answer about Xander "becoming a very well-rounded and desirable individual"...Dawn's always had a crush on him, so why would he have to become desirable? I'm probably just over-analyzing, but I'm not used to having something handed to me so easily, especially this season.
Not exciting is the prospect of waiting another arc to get a definitive answer on their couple-y-ness.

It's on. The question is now its importance. I've been prepared to have my B/X hopes shattered yet again. But it still stings. I don't know why I even bother anymore.

Now that it's official, I find that I don't have much of a problem with it. They're both adults and, I have to say, they're kind of nice together.
I've never shipped Buffy and Xander, so that aspect doesn't bother me.

I for one am beyond happy that we finally got an answer to SOMETHING this season. D/X is still going to take some getting used to for a lot of people, including me. I hope we at least get some sort of conversation about how Xander's feelings went from "aww look at Dawn with ice cream on her face" to "let's make-out." Not a big to-do or anything just a short little explanation of when he knew Dawn was the Summers girl for him.
One thing I'm still iffy about is why it's considered a hook-up. Maybe because we don't get to see the "romance" part on the page, just the kissing? To me they feel very romantical and they very much act like they are in a relationship. Unless as most predict, this is a precursor to destruction. And now one of them has to die or be the mole or be Twilight or since it's Joss, possibly all three. So, the kiss could be all we get of D/X...the beginning of the end.

Yeah, the fact that this has been referred to as "more of a hook-up than a romance" is kind of ominous. Under what circumstances would Xander treat Dawnie as a "hook-up"?
Maybe it's Dawn who will break it off. Or maybe it will end the same way all of Xan's previous relationships did. (Foreign object rammed through vital organs.)

Yea, I think they need to keep Dawn far away from all sharp objects for the time being and maybe buy her some sort of reinforced steel armor.

Just to throw a little 'reality' into this discussion to offer perspective on the age gap between Xander and Dawn I'll offer a few facts about my own previous relationships.
I've never let age be an issue as far as the girls that I've dated. All that ever mattered to me is that we worked as a couple and shared a similar lifestyle (by which I mean that I need the girl in question to like rock music and to enjoy going to gigs because I do it A LOT!). I've dated girls much younger than me and also a few a good few years older. The biggest age gap for dating a girl younger than me was when I was 28 dating a girl who was 17, unless you count a girl I saw a few times earlier this year (she was 21 and I'm now 34) although that wasn't really a relationship so much as us having a good time together, I guess. As for dating older women, when I was 19 I was seeing a woman who was 27.
The point I'm trying to make is that in my experience age is meaningless. As long as both people involved are of legal age and consenting adults then how many years happen to be between them doesn't matter. I've never had a relationship end because of the age difference. Not once.
With Xander and Dawn you have two people who, regardless of their ages, share a hell of a lot in common and have a great deal of love for each other. That's all that matters when you really think about it.

Xander's girlfriends... let's see
Cordelia was run through the stomach with a piece of wood, (but survived) Anya was partially bisected with a sword. Renee was impaled through the chest with the Scythe.
So Dawn... hmm... Maybe she'll wise up and break up with him. But I like that they're together.
