I know that this is really random, but I was just reading a thread about Glory and how we could bring her back. And then I started to think: how can we bring everyone's favorite character back without bringing them really back? So, I created these two possibilities: In Season 9, Buffy could (and most likely will) be her most challenging villain. I know everyone wants to see Tara, Anya etc make at least one more appearance. What if during her final fight, she and the big bad time jumped ala 'Time Bomb', except more over the place. For instance, they could go really quick back to season 3 during the Buffy/Faith fight at the end for one second, then find themselves in OMWF the next. The other theory is that what if this guy is too strong for the scooby gang alone and they mystically bring the guys back from time or temporarily from the dead to fight him/her in one giant epic fight with every good guy (maybe even a couple bad ones) to unite and defeat the thing. So am I crazy or does that sound like a reasonable idea???

There have been tons of these types of episodes in a lot of televisions hows out there. Some of them can be really interesting but most of them are a fight then it ends with the real person(ie Buffy) having an intervention with herself and winning over herself. I wouldn't mind if this was a comic in Season 8 or 9 but I would not want it for the final comic.
I want the final fight to be in the next to last comic. For the last comic I want it to be a normal day for Buffy, hanging with her friends, being a sister to Dawn then just seeing her happy. Most of all I want Buffy to be 100% happy int he end because she, out of all the characters, deserves it the most!

maybe not for the final fight, but sometimes in the future...I would love a little reunion with all characters, but just one image, like in The Simpson's movie, when all characters appear together.

Not too big a fan of this. Seems to "all over the place", no real control.

It's also been used in The Book of Fours, in some variant. Where the spirit of Slayers past are channeled to defeat some evil. I actually don't remember the details exactly anymore, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not entirely off on the plot. So yeah, while not canon, it's been explored, and it wasn't very well executed, from what I remember.

I always hoped they would bring back Glory somehow to fight with the scoobies. Glory never wanted to create chaos and death, she just wanted to "go home".
And it sounds similar to the final episode of charmed, which i thought came across extra lame.
But what i did like, (is this what you meant) was Buffy vs Big bad. But fighting through random scenes. Like if the Big bad was throwing around time to disorientate Buffy and weaken her. E.g. Big bad bringing them both back to the scene of her mothers death, and kicking her ass there, just because it would be so emotionally draining and horrific. And then with that taken her to another "moment" which would distract and disorientate her. Id like that *nods*

I'm half and half on this idea.
I think it would be very interesting to see a Big Bad throw Buffy into different situations that would throw her off, i.e. her mother's death, her killing Angel, Spike dying, etc. but I don't know if I'd want to see all of the previous battles. I'd like to see Tara & Anya once again but I really don't know if it would fit into the flow of the comic, especially since it's been stated very clearly that Tara could not be brought back through magic. But there could always be some random situation that would not really have an explanation.
In reference to the second theory, I don't really like the idea of temporarily brining the dead back. Would it be something like when Cordy was "woken up" in You're Welcome? It'd just be too painful to see those people then have them ripped away again. But who knows, that could be something Joss would like.

I dont know what it is but I have always liked the idea of Buffy becoming her own enemy and her friends turning against her. Okay this has alreay happened in previous episodes (Empty Places and well, most of season 6) but they never had real reason to turn against her. Maybe Buffy could turn evil in some Joss Whedon way (Kinda smallville-like with Lana) and the final showdown could be with Buffy and the scoobies! In an epic showdown of course!!!

That's an interesting idea. If something like that did occur however, I'd prefer if it happened as the Big Bad was beating Buffy (don't you like alliteration?) and it had Buffy on the proverbial ropes and then started taunting her, like "You think you've saved so many people Buffy? Have you forgotten all the people you've killed?" then cut to flashbacks to episodes and show scenes where Buffy was alone with said character who died, in a scene that fits into an episode but wasn't a scene in the actual episode (if that makes sense, like the opening scene of "No Future For You" part 4). Like a flashback to the end of "Dead Things" where Buffy was crying in Tara's lap, maybe have Buffy look up in tears and say "Thank you" to Tara, cut to a season five episode where Buffy and Anya were laughing at Xander about something, cut to season two as Buffy asks Jenny a question after class. All these retroactive continuity moments. I'd like that. Nothing to change the stories. Just new character moments in old stories that complement them.

Sounds alot like a episode of Charmed..cant remeber the name of it. The first part is kind of like "Cat House" the second one could be "Charmed & Dangerous" when they vanquish the source by calling the power from the entire halliwell line. or "Forever Charmed" when patty, penny, & piper have to combine their magic to banish The Hollow.

Forget The First, its the Cheese Man who controls it all. Remember "I wear the cheese, it does not wear me." He's obviously behind everything bad ever. But more on topic, it seems like this idea has already been done on Buffy to me. Plus there was that scene of pure awesomeness in 'Lessons' where we did see every Big Bad again. Also it reminds me of Illyria in ATF with her time jumpy thing going on. I'm thinking Buffy needs to be moving forward, not back. But an interesting idea, nontheless.

I agree. I wouldn't want a fight that shows recaps of past fights. Srry.

Actually im not too against the idea.Id like to see buffy, faith, kendra, and fray fight it would be interesting to see!
id like faith to meet the slayer who passed the power to her,and them be amazed by fray and her being from the future,it would be interesting!the fighting would be great. it would be ineresting if all the slayers we were introduced to in the show teamed up.
I actually always wanted faith to get to know her slayer roots sorta like when buffy did.

I'd like a story, where Buffy has become a fugitive against her friends, and they are all fighting against her...I don't why, but she has somehow become Public Enemy Number 1, (maybe not evil) just everyone is against her, or something.
