For a long time it has been my dream to play a game based on ANGEL. But I know it will NEVER come true. Because frankly, it most likey would not make a lot money. But if Hell froze over and a ANGEL game did get made. I think it should be based on ATF. I think it would make a good action game like Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden. The game could be structured into episodes like the new ALONE IN THE DARK game is. The game could span 22 missions. Each one taking about 40 min to an hour to complete. That way it would be like getting a new interactive season. I also think ANGEL should be the only playable character. The game could start out during the Ally fight, just because I think that would be an awesome battle to play, game play wise. Then the game could jump ahead a few months to the beginning of ATF.
But I know this will never happen but I will continue to dream.

I myself don't see how having the alleyway fight at the start of any AtF games would be a good thing. I'd view it as more of a reward for playing through the game (much like it was a reward for reading AtF itself). Think perhaps something like The Warriors in terms of structure there - the main narrative runs, but you can break out at any time to the back story chapters.
Aside from that, I'm hesitant to put forward any other game structures until we have the complete story. I don't think a DMC style game would suit the story itself though - I mean, Angel gets hammered every time he enters battle, and something dodgy like insta-spells that heal him just reeks of lazy game design.

I think the Alleyway fight in the beggining would be good, just because like in the Harry Potter 4 Video game, the first fight/adventure is when the Dementors attack the quidditch place. and It worked well. But anywho I think it would be an amazing idea. Also it would good to have an adventure mode, and battle mode. it would all together just be a good idea.

I would think an ATF game in the style of Final Fantasy or Xenosaga (though probably not turn-based) would be fun. Just because it could be very story driven. ATF would have to be expanded a lot--but what's wrong with that?

I'm actually going to think on this a bit more over the next few days. I have some fairly unconventional views on game design, so I'm going to see if I can actually sit down and nut out something viable. I'm not of the opinion that it should be just like game X or like game Y. That's both my game design views speaking, and the following point: When has Buffy or Angel ever been about being just like something else? The shows and comics have always been about turning convention on its head, so that's going to play just as much in to any ideas I have.

A game based on ANGEL ATF would be great.
It would work well because in Hell you can make up any type of baddie to beat up, plus any area to go to. Also, there are many different characters that could be used. The freedom of the Hell-LA setting would make for a good video game, plus Angel himself is cool.
