Over my teenaged years, I've been member to plenty of forums; some of which were centered around games (CS, WoW). Some centered around "comedy" (Something very Awful). Some of which centered around television (Battlestar Galactica, Firefly... *ahem* Lost). Some of the forums were even populated by drug addicts (was totally addicted to opiates for 8 or 9 months... a forum actually helped me quit [if you need help with addiction, PM me! I can actually help!])
But through all this time, I've been barking up the wrong tree. I think I've finally found a place where I belong; the Buffyverse.
Now, I wouldn't go so far as to say I like Buffy as much as Battlestar Galactica... Wait. Yes I would. Three shows have changed my life in some way. Battlestar Galactica made me want to become a television writer. Firefly gave me perspective on the world that I'd never noticed-- or been privy to.
But Buffy... well, Buffy the Vampire slayer gave me joy. Although I think that... overall, BSG is better written than Buffy (I mean, you canNOT go wrong with Ronald D. Moore + Jane Espenson as writers), Buffy means more to me. I can relate to Buffy. Her struggles. Her alone-ness. Her social relationships-- they all make perfect sense to me.
So, thank you all very much for giving me a place to feel welcome. This forum clearly rocks. Having said that, I intend to become a full-fledged, high-posting, obsessive fan of Buffy, because the cast, crew, and fellow Buffy "super-fans" deserve a new member, because you all [censored!]ING ROCK.
Buffy forever.

(edit) It would appear that I cannot change the subject of this post from "communit" to "community". Oh well! Another perma-typo for TaintedBlu(minus the e) to remember me by!
