I have a werid feeling she's tara. Or connected to tara maybe, its only a hunch but there are some reasons for it 1. willow and sagu's 'connection' 2. She kinda looks like tara in the latest comic, high cheek bones n all... 3. In wolves at the gate sagu says 'you have no idea whats to come, blah blah' the line tara says in restless. Hm, who knows! I'm happy to admit that im always looking for clues tara might be coming back so LOL.

Hmm that is an interesting theory. I'm a huge Tara fan and I would love if it were true. Come to think of it Joss has had plans to bring Tara back in season 7 but didn't because Benson couldn't make the time, it only seems logical that he would do so in season 8 where there are no limitations. And he has been saying that Tara is not coming beck one too many times... Who knows, but your clues do make sense and it would explain why Willow trusts Saga so much... Maybe the source of Sagas information is Tara, and that is why Willow is following her so blindly.

=/ Vasuki is not Tara... (Vasuki is the "snake-lady") btw... Vasuki is a "Naga" "Vasuki is a Sanskrit name for a naga, one of the serpents of Buddhist and Hindu mythology. He is a great King of the nagas and has a gem (Nagamani) on his head. Manasa, another naga is his sister. Vasuki is known in Chinese and Japanese mythology as being one of the "eight Great Naga Kings", amongst Nanda (Nagaraja), Upananda, Sagara (Shakara), Takshaka, Balavan, Anavatapta and Utpala." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VasukiOK (That) ^, is General Information or "real", i dunno, but this is Whedonverse, so dont forget that Joss can modify "Vasuki" in the Buffyverse ¬_¬ (especially for the king thing)... But a Naga are aquatic spirits with body of snake and torso and head of women... you can read more information here: es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naga (but is in spanish =S (its better than the English Version)) anyway... Thats Vasuki, not Tara... =)

anyway... Thats Vasuki, not Tara... Don't get offended or anything, but that opinion has no arguments of facts behind it.

LET ME START BY SAYING I MAY BE WRONG! Also, I am a HUGE Tara fan.
Tara only said those lines in Season Four's "Restless" because she was acting as the Primitive's conduit. Or she was merely saying the words for the Primitive.
Also. I do think that Scott Allie has said that they are no plans for Tara's return.

Exactly, the fact that one blantly gives away mythical facts about a mythological creature and not the comic book character -vasuki in the comic forin the hindumythology vasuki wasmale and not femael as in the comic is not quite valid as an argument -sorry mate. I think that Joss actually wanted Tara to be a demon and the main villain of season 5 but due tot he fact that she ahd grpown on him he rejected that idea, i think its plausible to make her a demon in the afterlife yet that doenst concide with her character for Tara would not teach witchcraft to a vampire with a shady past... Scott Alie could be bluffing and in order to donnot provide any spoilers -i would do the same if i were him , you know despite the hype it would cause all these needs for more info for when will Tara appear and it would not be nice to the current part of the story, it would distract fans a lot,and ofcourse possibly separate them into pro Tara and Anti Tara return sides , just like the Saffy incident did. Personally i think that there might be a chance that the demon lady is tara due to the likeness factor andthe way she treats Willow, her plead to the redhead to donnot look in the future etc. But what make sme sceptical about it isthe fac that snakes are universally considered as evilor having some rather obnoxious rumours about them and a goodperson like Tarawould not transform into a snake in the afterlife, or so i thin-i'm kinda torn tobe honest.

With the supposed likeness that Saga has to Tara, you have to take into consideration the style that the artist (Moline, Jeanty) is peniclling her in as well. Going..."Well Saga has cheek bones and so does Tara"....That's like saying 2x=-24+5x and just skipping to the answer of 8. LOL. Bad simile I know. But that's just my view on it.

Tara fans unite! : )
I do agree that there is somewhat of a likeness, the way Vasuki talks to Willow is also similar to Tara's.
I hope she is somewhat connected to Tara. Considering Joss can do whatever he wants, I have no doubt we will see Tara in the future. She is the weakness of Willow, look at what happened in CWDP.
I'm sure that for one of the issues, the cliffhanger will be Tara at Willow's door, or something.

Vasuki looks more like Fray to me than Tara. If you go back to the Fray series, there are several panels where the bone structure is somewhat identical. Especially in the nose. The green may throw you off though, but if you can see the similarity between Vasuki and Tara (I personally see none, but as has been pointed out, could just be the art style), then maybe you can see this too.

Something just came to me.. Saga could be Tara's inner demon. Her family suspected that women in her family had a demon in them, maybe Saga is that demon, a goddess of magic, not necessarily bad. I know Spike couldn't hit her, but he also couldn't hit Buffy with his chip and we all know now that Slayer power is demonic in nature. Maybe when Tara got killed her soul transformed into Saga. Any connection of Saga to Buffy's past is better that her just being some new demon snake lady that just pooped up!!

Yeah, I highly doubt that she is Tara.... didn't the Japanese vamp-witch-lady say that she was a student of Saga Vasuki as well? Wouldn't that mean the she's kind of evil... teaching evil vamp witches powerful magics?
That being said, I think that Tara will show up eventually.

Tara didn't have an inner demon. She was a witch, possibly like her mother, and her family was just bigoted and used the demon thing to keep the women in their family in line. You're reading too far into this now lol. It's cool speculation that Tara might be involved somehow, but so far I haven't heard a theory that really makes sense. You are probably right but I want Tara back so bad...

i really like the idea of Tara being the one Vasuki trusted, Tara's spirit trying to help willow not become the sad dark thing we just got a glimpse of in this issue. Or Vasuki could tell Willow this either way just to get to her emotionally, without it actually being true. Like The First's Cassie did in Conversations With Dead People
