Hey All I made another post in this section showing my Custom Slayers Scythe and Trolls Hammer, i made these for college. These are mine to keep, BUT, i will be making more props soon, which i will make to sell.
I hope to make a few of each, ofcourse depending on the difficulty. Some may be completely One Offs!
I have a huge list, first off, im thinking [glow=red,2,300]Gunns HubCap Axe[/glow]. Im hoping to make between 3 and 5 of these.
But i was wondering, what props from Buffy/Angel, would people be interested in seeing? It doesnt have to be a weapon, could be any kind of prop.
However, in order to comply with laws, i will most likely have to make them from plastic, especially the weapons.
Id love to know what you all think

I want a Scythe (LOL)
Other than that I think the Urn of Osiris is cool...and I'm sure there are lots of reference pics for that.
Gunn's ax is cool too!

thanksthanks for the comment Phil Yes, the urn of osiris is on my list. it will be relatively easy once i find or make a suitable vase/ urn that i can use. it will most likely be a case of sculpting one from real clay and then making a mould. but ofcourse, i will speak to my ModelMaking tutor and see what methods she will suggest Wayne

well, lets say, the Urn is looking very likely Of course, it would be nice to get a rough number of ppl interested before i start making them. Because i have to carve the urn myself (i looked at LOADS online and i can find one similar enough) so then theres the mould and casting costs but im going to hopefully be setting up a website soon and then i can get things rolling Wayne

Oh yeah, that'll be cool. Also...as long as you make sure "viewers" of your new site know that these projects are customs...and not mass produced you should be fine Actually I wouldn't even make note that you sell them/list prices. I would just say "For information on how to obtain a custom of your very own contact site owner" or something.

great thinking CBG Because depending on the complexity of the piece, that will determining the amount i make For example. Gunns HubCap Axe- I reckon there will be about 5-10 Urn of Osiris- Upto 25.
But it also depends on the interest each piece drums up

definitely, the box from "Hush!"
--the gentleman bust would be a nice guide to making it.
It might be cool to have a replica of the zombie mask from season 3's "dead man's party," something to hang on the wall.

i understand what you mean about the costs HOWEVER, what you have to realise is. I cannot produce tooling for these things, which costs upwards of £1000 GBP, so i will be producing these using methods im familar with. Therefore, costs will be determined according to time i spend on them and cost of the actual materials/ processes. For instance, the Dulac Cross. That is on my list, however, i would have to carve the actual face of the cross, and then create a mould, and then make it in two parts, THEN get it gold plated- So the cross will most likely be one of the more expensive props Also, you have to realise, DST/ Factory X/ Palisades are a real company, therefore they have access to processes that decrease in cost when the quantity increases. Thefore making them cheaper to produce. But im going to speak to my tutors about making these in the most cost effect way possible Ill keep people updated Wayne

I completely understand that these may be costly. I think your work is amazing and worth every penny. I was just being honest and telling you that I would want everything....and would eventually buy, but really, it depended on the price as to what I COULD buy....ya know? I didnt want to get hopes up that I would be able to buy every piece as soon as you were able to make them, just because I know you are gaging interest and I don;t want to skew. I would honestly buy, but (as I am sure some others are in the same boat) it would depend on price.

Willowswarlock, the mask of Ovu Mobani is for sale on eBay. I found these pictures and thought they would be a great guide if you were to try to recreate the mask. it seems the one for sale is missing some teeth...
