I'd rather have a Angel video game. I think that it would be cool if you could play as Angel, Cordelia, Wesley, Gunn, and Fred.

I would love a new video game! "Sacrifice" for DS was such a disappointment, The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer game for Xbox was the best, imo, in terms of graphics, overall story, etc. I liked Chaos Bleeds well enough, but found it somewhat lacking. Although, all the bonus content you could unlock was really neat. It would be awesome having a new Buffy game in the works to look forward to after all this time. Buffy is still a very hot commodity, what with the S8 comics, etc. I say go for it! There is still money to be made in the Buffy franchise. As long as it's quality and not just a money maker, I'm all for it!

I'd love a Buffy video game that didn't suck. I haven't actually played the original Xbox one, but whatever. Chaos Bleeds was terrible.
A Buffy RPG would be the business if it was done well. But that won't ever happen.

A Buffy Wii game would be AWESOME! But you know whatw ould be even awesomer? A Buffy/ Angel crossover game- we've never had one before and the crossover books are so popular surely it'd sell well? On the topic of crossover books in and ideal world we'd have more of those too . . .

A Wii game is my absolute Buffy dream.
Just imagining staking the vampires with the controller, and adding on the nunchuk for a crossbow... Would be so good.

I really want one Chaos Bleeds rocked my world. They should make a virtual reality game for Buffy where you can actually BE a character. And you could be Buffy and kick and punch them That'd be awesome.

I like the ideas swirling around. I would love to be in a virtual reality setting as Xander and just ... be hot all day. OR Glory, of course. For the obvious reasons.

New games would be awesome.
I wish we could get the Buffy MMORPG, but I had a feeling as soon as it was announced that it would never actually happen because of what happened with the Firefly one. I wish they wouldn't have even teased us.

My dream is a Buffy season 8 game based around the idea of new slayers. "Slayer Academy"... You can make your own girl and then go through training excercises and then do missions and such, with Buffy, Willow, and Xander as the mentors that teach you and send you off on missions. Think about it, it would be fairly accessible to the general (non Buffy fan) public as you wouldn't need any more back story than you would going into any new game. And by sending the slayers out on missions allows a vast variety of different gaming genres...Zombies, monsters....all sorts of bad...
I owuld give my first born for a game like this!

That would be majorly epic! I mean there'd be soul selling qualities...'cause Joss basically owns mine already, but not for Wii, fighting would kinda suck and be repetative...but hey bring on the awesomescauce

Ooo... Got an idea. How about a full-fledged action-RPG where you play as a new Slayer. I would like to play as Buffy as much as the next guy, but having playing as one of the new slayers would fit an RPG better, allow you to change her appearance, skills, weapons, clothing, etc. without conflicting with Buffy's appearance and skills she already has. I think at one point in season eight they mention slayer mystic or something, so maybe there'd be other options besides swords, stakes, and crossbows. Does anyone have ideas for villains? They could be a pre-existing character or you could make one up. This here is why I was excited about the Buffy MMO that was announced that I knew wouldn't end up happening. There is so much potential for what you could do with it. You could be a slayer, a witch, a vampire, a werewolf, or maybe even have a government/initiativey type class. Buffy is so rich with lore and everything that I think they could make an amazing world with it. It's too bad it is likely to never actually happen.

I thought about this a lot when season 8 came about. imagined it as a 2d side scrolling beat-em-up, like Streets of Rage, Final Fight and old Capcom arcade games. But that's only because *I* prefer games with 2d sprites and love beat em ups. ;D You'd start the game playing with a newly called slayer joining one of the slayer cells. This would ensure a steady introduction into the jossverse (which is so rich it might cause brain seizures to take it all in at once). As you played through the levels you'd unlock new players from your fellow squad members and as you meet them you'd get buffy, willow, xander, giant dawn, faith... all with different moves, abilities and powers. If I had the skills, it would probably be my first OpenBOR mod. (for the unaware, it's an open source game making engine which allows people to create and share their games - mostly, beat-em-up, but the engine has grown so much, it's quite possible to do any kind of action game. Check out its homepage: www.lavalit.com ou some "OpenBOR" youtube videos)

A Ps3/Xbox360 game would be cool, but not a Wii game, dear god please do not make a Wii game. If they do spend time making it for the Wii, it would most likely take away from the quality of the next-gen platforms (ps3 & xbox360).
A great thing about a new Buffy game is that when it comes out and is actually good, more people will become Buffy-fans, and one can never have enough fans! (it's in the bible, I believe)
Here are some of my ideas: - I think a RPG similar to Dragon Age would be cool, you could choose between 2 classes: slayer or wiccan and go from there. It'd be cool to interact with characters like Buffy or Willow and have them as your mentors as you get stronger throughtout the game. I think there should be a good main storyline that takes place during or after S8 and then a lot of optional sidequests that you can start in your main hub.(the castle in Scotland?) - A game telling the story between S8 and S9. This'd be an action/adventure/platforming game with Buffy, Willow and Angel or Spike as playable characters. I think there should be many different qualities to make this game interesting such as good graphics, a gripping storyline and maybe a multiplayer? - A game featuring Fray, Spike or Faith as the main character.(need I say more?) I do? Then I think Fray should be a sanbox style game like Assassin's Creed(2). Spike and Faith would have to be an action/adventure/fighting game ala Uncharted without the shooter parts - A Ripper game!!!!!!! Since we're probably never going to get the tv mini-series, why not take the ideas Josh and other people had for it and stuff it all in a videogame?

Yeah, games as a means to tell a story (even canon) is totally doable. As much as I love the comics, there are so many ways to tell a story... and there are so many stories to be told in this universe. Spike, Faith, Angel, Fray, Ripper, Willow... Besides, nothing will stop the artists to make a comics version of the game.
