I'm so excited now! I don't care if it's a few figures and I don't care if it's one figure. I want another! I'm hoping for Sanctuary Faith or Tough Love Willow. Maybe it's a new deluxe line.

And I should have said MIGHT be oh-so-excited.
Don't get your hopes up. We are talking about a product that we all at least for a day thought had completely ended without any hope of a return.

Yes, Toyfair only opened today and it goes through Wednesday...I think. It's something like that. If I remember from last year, friday, saturday, sunday are when most of the photos from the shows exhibits surface and we see whats new but then Monday, Tuesday, etc is when the news articles start to appear that tells you what everything is and also what's the companies are saying is coming, but didn't show in their exhibits. If DST is doing the announcement, it would come out around then. If TST is doing it, they might be waiting for DST to get back from the show or something, which could mean later in the week. All this is based of course on what I've seen over the last few years. Since we don't even know what the announcement is for sure (we know it's figure related, but), it's hard to say. |

I will let you know that Phil himself doesn't even know what the announcement is. All the Higher Powers have discussed is what it could be based on what we have been told.

I would rather have a figure/character that has never been released. How many
Willows do you people need? I love Buffy, Willow, Xander, and Faith too but we have
many figures of each. I want GUNN, because he was never made and a vital character
in Angel-almost there from the start. I would even like to have a Doyle figure, or
the Judge, Adam, or Riley-I think I was the only one who liked Riley-Ha Ha! Anyway,
you get my point. If anybody else here actually liked Riley-let me know so I won't feel
so all alone!

I agree, you would think that the show was called "Willow: Magic Truck-Driving Mama" instead of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Of course that still doesn't stop me from wanting a regular faced deluxe fuzzy Willow figure. DST has made so many mistakes but maybe TST can rectify a few of those through exclusives. Sorry but I just don't agree that it should be Gunn. For it to be *successful* it needs to be something that is universally interesting. There are maybe 4-500 people between these 2 forums that would buy Gunn and i'm not one of them. Who is going to buy the other 2500? I know that it seems like overkill but it should be Buffy or a 2-pack with Buffy in it. If TST has their heart set on Gunn hopefully it will at least come in the form of a 2-pack with a regular faced deluxe Angel. Something that might catch the attention of a casual internet figure shopper. Maybe i'm daft but it just doesn't seem to me that if Buffy figures are selling so poorly for DST that figures from Buffy's spin-off show are going to do any better. As for Riley, I don't care much for the character but I would like to have a figure of him. He was a rather big part of the show for 2 seasons. I don't hate the character like I do Kennedy but he's no Halfrek either lol. Anyway i'm sure that TST is smart enough to know all of this and will work with DST to get the best possible seller. |

Um...3 more! That is how many Willows this person needs  Personally I would love a Gunn figure...but I don't want this figure to be a Gunn figure or any figure that we have not already seen. If it is Gunn I would hope they go all out and give us a new sculpt, I would be really upset if we got a Gunn head on the Wesley suit body. I wouldn't mind if they did him as a deluxe and gave him Spikes body with an open hoody instead of a jacket. Anyway, I want them to start getting us the figures they canceled and if those sell then see about new characters. My hope is that they give us Tough Love Willow or all three Willow Variants and if those sell well then maybe they can get the Deluxe line back up. From what I've heard, if they were to have continued the Deluxe line as planned we would be looking at a few Gunn figures this summer. |

DST has got their display up and running for 2 days now and the NY 2008 toyfair; and there is not one article, picture of ripple of Buffy/Angel in ANYTHING!

I don't think that matters. We were told that TST would have some news for figure fans after Toyfair, not at Toyfair.
I didn't expect DST to have any Buffy figures on display.

I think the announcement is coming 'after Toyfair' because Toyfair is a huge deal to companies and everything that doesn't have to do with what they are showing there gets pushed to the back burner until after. And we already know where Buffy/Angel stands when it comes to DST's priorities. Although I have to admit, I was kinda hoping they would show something Buffy/Angel (even though they said they weren't) as a surprise to the fans. I even had a dream about it Friday night LOL (yes, I'm a geek ) |

Yeah I was hoping that when DST said that they weren't showing anything Buffy at Toyfair that they just wanted to surprise us. I know that it was said that Phil and the mods didn't know what the announcement was but my question is this, where is this upcoming announcement coming from? TST or DST? |

I think the announcement will be coming from TSTs and I think it's pretty safe to assume that it has to do with a new figure or figures.
I'm sure we will see the announcement here and on the TST website...that is my guess at least.
