I wish DST had taken more care when producing the line to make things like hair more interchangeable among the females.
I think TST needs to find out if any of the Willow parts have been tooled. If Crush Drusilla is being produced then we should have the V neck Torso, Bare legs, long skirt, and high heal boots to add to our part list...along with a Dru head. Maybe we should come up with a line that had a Drusilla in it since for most people she would be a new Deluxe character.
Maybe a Box set with Angelus, Spike w/ Wheel Chair and a Surprise Dru using the long skirt and OMWF upper torso.
Or a OMWF Set with Willow as described before with the V Neck, long skirt, and OMWF Buffy Arms. Xander with his rubber Shirt over Spikes torso and long sleeve arms with the leaf shirt paint scheme. And Maybe Giles with Destiny Angel body and Giles head or Buffy from the opening scene with jeans, a white shirt and a black jacket with EoD head.
Or a Slayer hand book with Buffy, Faith, and Kendra. Kendra could be from the last scene in What's my line part two with the Star shirt and there could be tons of variations to choose from for Buffy and Faith. Personally I like the Idea of Hush Buffy and maybe a Who are You or even a Sanctuary Faith.

I don't think there is going to be a Crush Dru. I have been reading the old Triangle Tara threads over at btvsfigs and everytime DST was asked anything about that Tara they kind of blew the questions off. Probably because they figured that it's not their place to answer, it was Ambers. Now they are doing the same thing with Crush Dru. Unfortunately, Juliet's website isn't as caring as Amber's mom was. Crush Dru is limited to 1500 because Juliet was willing to pay more per figure knowing that she was selling them for 125 bucks a pop. Smaller run = double the price for the figure. Not a probalem when you're looking at the amount of profit that Juliet is. Remember Juliet is doing this for her movie, she's not going to cancel this movie so she needs this figure. She'll get it. The people at Juliet's website probably aren't replying because they figure that there is no point in speculating and they are waiting for them to arrive to answer emails. I have all of the faith in the world that this figure has already been produced and is on it's way to her by now.

I didn't write alot in the 1st post since the news but I thought I say my piece I guess. I know DST came to aid Buffy fans when MAC was calling things off. They did some great figures over the years. Then as they got more liences for other shows and such. The Buffy line got overlooked and figures weren't what we expected but some of us I know I did still bought them all to add to the collection. So the sales of figures went down alot due to the fact the figures started looking and being wrong. Too tall Fred.... Faith make-up and face.....Xander lookin older then Giles. But we still bought them. If the line needs a break so be it, there other items for Buffy I can seek out. And with the customs being made here better than most figure ever released I can count on them as well. My problem is getting our hopes up and knockin them back down. I felt it was big knock back when they waited right as the Dru/Oz was due out to say nope not happening we didnt even get them tooled.... wow that was strange to me last min and back out. Now we have this last thing big news for figure fans and new hope, only to say no new figures unless we can thow somthing together to get your cash. Not how can we make a figure thats unreal and everyone has to have.... just thow us some scraps. I feel TST done alot and work and we done our share to but to me DST now has its eyes on Star Trek, Stargate and other things and can move past the folks that supported them when they took the Buffy line. Just my 2 cents.... not meaning to make anyone mad but its were I am at with whole deal... maybe others feel somewhat the same! Tommie

Okay here is my kit-bash concept. After kicking this kitbash idea around it's really not a bad idea. We have never had some crucial variants and now we get the opportunity. CowboyGuy are you going to start a new thread for people to present ideas or just continue with this one? Anyway, my computer illiterate little self spent 3 hours making this lol. Okay, here is Buffy Deluxe "Surprise" Angel.

Everyone is coming up with some awesome ideas. I would love to see a EOD Angel! Maybe packaged with a Caleb! Caleb could be ANy of the male DLX bodies with a Captain Reynolds head!

Worst good news ever....? lol
Dunno how forward thinking DST were but if they considered part re-use at any time they should have worked harder with compatability. Even compatable things like the heads don't work well, with neck length and scale issues.
I'm incredibly biased because of my disliking of DST bodies and reuse, but I think Deluxe is absolutely the way forward here. They're way easier to kit bash with and there's already enough parts to make almost anyone for a little extra cost.
Tough Love Willow has been popular with almost everyone. This figure should totally be first. The other Willows aren't as good in my opinion and don't seem as popular, but theres are some interesting new parts there too.
I think DST would have more success with new characters in most cases, but they probably won't ever risk paying for the heads or other parts, so new Buffy's will be what we see.

Any chance we could open up a new thread for just the concepts, so they don't get lost in this thread? And what will happen with the concepts anyway? Do we get to vote on what we like best, or will DST just chose what they want to produce?

The exclusive holders are left with so many unsold figures because 1) they made some very poor choices in what they picked and 2) DST had some very bad sculpts. I mean, no one picked up the Primeval Buffy and that was one of the best looking figures from the wave, and Buffy Bot (or any of the smiling Buffy figures) would have sold better if the face sculpt wasn't so awkward.
Same thing goes for the Xander wave - no one picked up Initiative Xander which is a GOOD figure. TST should have grabbed him, and let Vamp Xander be the Con exclusive.
If TST took the plunge and got the TL Willow it would sell very well, plus it would give a whole new set of parts to kit-bash deluxe figures with.
