Hello, I'm Felicia Day, I played Vi on Buffy for the last season. Tim stopped by my MySpace and dropped me a note asking me to say howdy on this board, so here I am! Thanks Tim for letting me know this board was here! I didn't do a lot of conventions but I got to meet a lot of people at the ones I attended and everyone was so nice, I'm glad to have a place to stop by occasionally and wave hi! If you haven't already, you can check out the webisode I wrote/act in called "The Guild." www.youtube.com/watchtheguild . It's about a group of online gamers. It's been a really fun project to create, and I've learned a lot about what goes on BEHIND the camera. Anyway, thanks Tim, for pointing out this site! I'll check back to see if anyone had any Buffy questions to ask me. OXOX Felicia

So glad you accepted my invite Felicia! And for members reading this, the first two eps of THE GUILD are already posted in THE BRONZE section, and I'm sure if you watch there and comment on them, Felicia won't mind answering questions about THE GUILD in that thread at a later time.
I actually have a Buffy question:
When you first appeared on the show, you were with some other BtVS newbies. Did it help at all to know that, while the main actors on the show already had a tightly knit friendship and comfort with eachother, you were surrounded by other women in the same position as you? Putting that simpler: Were you and the rest of the actresses playing the Slayerettes immediatly comfortable around eachother? Or is that even usually a problem in coming onto a big tv show?
And if that's confusing, please let me know.

Hey Felicia! Glad you're here! Vi was hands down my favorite Potential and I'm really enjoying The Guild. Can't wait for the next episode.

Hello to Miss Day I agree with the above poster about "The Guild", and wonder if we'll see the next episode soon. It's a great premise, and I'd like to see where it goes next.
Now a Buffy question: if there was a spin-off series about the Potentials-now-New Breed-of-Slayers, what would you have wished Vi could have done as a new Slayer? I saw her as a Watcher-in-training, and I think it would make sense for older Slayers (now that we can have some) training the newbies. I'd like to know what you think abot this. Thanks.

My question: What was the most valuable thing you learned while working on the Buffy set?

Welcome Felicia Thank you for joining us here at SlayAlive. You were my favorite potential on Buffy as well, so it's really cool having you here. My question: Most embarrassing/funny moment while on the set of Buffy? -Jess

I've never really thought about my favorite potential before. I always liked the Chinese girl because, well, No English = Pure Comedy. But if I take her out of the equation, I guess Vi was my favorite potential. I didn't like Amanda or Kennedy. Chloe was never that major. And Vi was always making the funny *wide eyes* or shocked/scared faces. So, yep, Vi was my favorite English-speaking potential.
EDIT:
Felicia, sorry if my IM woke you up Sunday night. I'll let this pale dude eat me now. :vampirebite:

Welcome to the forum, Felicia!
A non-Buffy question: What are your new projects that we can look forward in seeing you in addition to The Guild?

I just thought of another question: Do you know if there are any plans for another season of Windfall? Thnx

Let me try to answer in order backwards: Windfall was canceled, so no, more Sad, but true, the cycle of a TV show has gotten much shorter. I have an independent movie I filmed in the spring called "Dear Me" that should be out later this year, and I'm currently filming a western for the Hallmark Channel that is very fun and exciting. I'll update as more develops! IM? Sorry I didn't get any IM(I don't really use it), so you're excused I guess most embarrassing moment on the set, when I got a spider bite on the set somehow and had to get sent home because some weird lymph node under my chin swelled up like a golf ball. Not fun, but it disappeared quick enough. Most Valuable thing learned: Just because they make you wear a hat for a long time, doesn't mean there's a demon on top of your head (ie, don't be paranoid about things you can't control). I think if my character had continued, I think Vi might be the person who helps people adjust to their lives as Potential/Slayers. She always seemed to be pretty anxious, but having overcome it in the end, could help other people work through their own problems coping with their new skills. As far as me and the other Potentials, we definitely formed a group of our own on the set. We all learned how to knit scarves together and were too loud when we were hanging out together It was really sad when someone died, because it was like breaking up. Definitely the ones who lasted to the end were super close, but the rest of the main cast was very friendly and open to a gaggle of new characters showing up. It was a great set, I wish I had appreciated my time there even more when I was working there Thanks a bunch for the fun questions and for a warm welcome! XOXO Felicia

You got bitten by a spider and didn't even know it? Ouch. And a western? Cool! It's good to hear you had a great time on the set.

Welcom to the forum Felicia! It's great of you to not only drop in and have a look but to sign up too!
My BUffy-Question is this: Did you know when you signed on to the series, that it was the last season of Buffy? Also, were you a fan of the show when you auditioned? Also also... At what point of your employment did you find out if your character lived or died and how Chosen was going to play out?
I guess that is more like 4 questions...but how often is it that an uberfan gets to ask questions of one fo the actors from Buffy?!?
PS: Why not aska fifth..... Was there ever any talk that you were aware of about the core surviving potentials from Buffy jumpin ship to season 5 of Angel?
