Wow, that's pretty. The face isn't tilted "right", and the eyes aren't looking in the right direction, but hey, just because you have a pic as inspiration doesn't mean you have to copy every detail.
At first I thought it was Wyatt that had drawn it, which is a major compliment, considering how talented he is.

Not a bad Beginning Sophie. I can see that your artistic skills are improving with every drawing you do. It is so nice to see that you have gotten some good pencils and quality paper to work with. you will find that the art supplies you choose to work with really do make a difference in you final drawing. You have chosen a very nice portrait of Eliza to work with. I know from experience that Eliza is a challenging subject to draw and you are on your way to capturing her likeness quite nicely. Here are a few suggestions that may help (these are methods that work for me...Give them a try...remember though by all means they are not concrete rules and as you progress you will find what works best for you) When starting of a portrait don't cage yourself in by drawing the shape of the face in the beginning; instead learn to see the face in various sections and draw the face one section at a time Keep in mind that no matter what the angle of the face is the eyes, nose and mouth will all be on the same angle. in the preliminary sketch very lightly draw a line that would go from forehead to chin down the center of the face. Then locate where you want the eyes to go and draw a straight line across the face in the same angle as the corners of both eyes... then lightly draw the eye closest to you keeping the corners on the line. do the same with the other eye then sketch in a light line where the bottom of the nose would be but remember to keep the line for the eyes and the line for the nose equally parallel from one another do the same for the mouth if you do this then it will be a lot easier to keep the angle and tilt of the head strait. If the above is a little confusing here is a diagram that illustrates what I am talking about also remember that the iris is perfectly round and that the pupil is also round and in the center of the iris (this never changes no matter the angle of the face Hope these tips help As I said before This drawing is starting off very nicely. I hope that you will finish it because i would love to see the end results Nice work Sophie ;D ;D Scotty--

The tilt of her head is just a little bit off. The top of her forehead should be more on an angel toward the left of the page.
