Do the first and second TPBs come in paperback? I want them for Christmas, but I'm, pretty sure that the hardcovers would be more expensive.

I think it's only the hardcover TPB's ... they rock! you have to get them..

I think that the term "hardcover TPBs" is some kinda weird oxymoron. lol. TPBs are the flimsy softcovered books (which I love, btw). But I get what you're saying. I've personally just bought the individual books, and can't bring myself to cough up the cash I don't have for the nifty hardcovers. But at least I'm current! Right? Right?

I prefer them in hard covers. It the one thing I don't like about the Buffy seaspn 8 TPB' they are nothing really they just collect the issues where as After The Fall goes all out and adds in extras and some notes with Brian.

On the bright side, Scott Allie did say (in his recent #19 Q&A) that there are plans to release deluxe editions of S8, but that it's a long ways down the road still. But I agree that the S8 TPBs are kinda disappointing, which is why I don't collect them. Well, that, and I'm kinda short on cash.
