I know of one FREE site that can capture videos keepvid.com/ but I would like one that can record from other sites than youtube and with better quality. Also, I haven't found how out how to record audio for free.

GOOGLE youtubedownloader, install it and you'll hve a vlc file on your computer of youtube videos. Which means you can use them as files and stuff.
Then you can use audacity to strip audio and stuff.

If you're looking from something that'll capture the video from somewhere OTHER than Youtube, then I'm not sure. I mean, there are all kinds of programs and sites that help you save video and audio, but most of them are for YT. Sucks a donut, I know. Makes it real hard to find a cool video that you want to save and it's on Vimeo or imeem or something, then you have to start hunting all over the place for a way to save the file.
And when you say record audio... do you mean like with a mic? Or record what's coming out of your speakers?
