..Yeah it's been bitched about to death, but I realised this morning that what pisses me off isn't particularly about his presence in general, or even the stupid hole opened up in continuity. It's the piece of shit explanation offered for why he exists at all, and even more - how easy it would have been to explain in a more understandable way. Amy was what? Hiding out in the bushes that night waiting for Willow to skin someone? Why wasn't it that Amy cast her bitter spells in season 7, and found out in The Killer in Me what Willow's weakness was? She see's that Warren is the thing that can do most damage and plucks him out of the shithole Willow sent him to in Villains. It settles into the existing plot far more cleanly and erases all of the stupid leaps of logic and continuity that Joss created with the cliche idea that they've been plotting all along. Sorry, rant over lol

heh, i agree. theres no point to his existance in 8, but since he's in it they could've at least gave a real reason for it ¬¬

I think what henz meant was that Warren's return could have been better explained. Like because Amy saw what Willow's deep dark fear was in "The Killer in Me" (which caused the Warren manifestation), she decided that if she wanted to do some real damage to Willow, she should resurrect Warren, and watch the guilt fly. Better?

Warren is not needed at all for any reason in season 8. What has he done...absolutley nothing, okay he blew up the castle. Amy and Twilight could ahve done that. The entire arc would be better if it was just Amy and Twilight together and Warren was still...dead.

I wish that the original reason we were told for Warrne's return SOMEHOW turns out to not be true. That be lame...but it'd make me feel better.
Also, MAYBE I'll be happier with Warren when he does something relatively significant this season.

Well if we bitch about it enough, I think something will be done to rectify it. I believe the Joss and Company pay attention to fans misunderstandings or general hatred towards a particular issue and try to fix it. Notice how Riley turned up in issue #19? Do you think it was planned all along and that he was going to turn up then? Or do you think that Joss and company to some degree keep an eye on what the general fan population is looking at and try to give misdirection and/or extra bump in the roads to keep us guessing? I wouldn't be suprised if Warren plays a much larger role...

Well, I think I read Scott saying that they had to clearify the cinnamoon thing because we didn't get it, so yeah, they care about what we understand and don't understand.

Better? Yeah that's my point exactly, only less ranty hehe. It would give more weight to Amy's decision to ressurect Warren, both in terms of logic (she saw what he could do to Willow) and motivation (just why was Amy so bitter at the end of season 6 when the plan supposedly got set in motion? It makes far more sense that her jealousy grew to this kind of level after "The Killer in Me") It also sidesteps the flimsy idea of Amy making Willow's victim disappear in front of her eyes without so much as a "WTF?". It could be established that Willow burnt him up and sent him to hell, and Amy just tracked him down later and brought him back. The First continuity issue would disappear too as Warren clearly died and isn't living now anyway really. Just seems to make more sense in every way to me, and could have been explained just as quickly as the existing explanation.
