But what really struck me as interesting is this quote towards the end from Joss: Buffy! Now Buffy is behind the massive corporation and look how it's compromising her. Be free kittens! Be free Buffy!

I really loved the interview! Thanks for posting.
I really really think this is an interesting side of Buffy that's being explored. I am a firm believer that she is the semi-big bad this season. Not in a world ending apocalypse way...just in the way of losing what matters to her, and dealing with the repercussions of her own doing.

Not in a world ending apocalypse way...just in the way of losing what matters to her, and dealing with the repercussions of her own doing. a few issues ago i think i would have disagreed with you but having just re-read the fray arc, i definitely see where you are coming from. i can't remember the issue specifically but i think it was the 3rd in that arc, when fray and fuffy come across the vamps attacking the medical truck and fray wants to help the truck while Buffy gives the speech about the bigger picture and looking for the nest instead of the individual monsters. to me, that was the exact moment when i realized Buffy has truly lost her way.

Very nice interview! I'm thrilled with the idea of Joss staking his claim to internet studioing before the corporations can buy it all up. Go gorilla theatre!!
