Some interesting season 8 stuff... * Angel and Spike have been kept out of the comic because of AtF, but will be appearing at some point in the season. * Joss is happy with the comic, although he doesn't think it's been quite as focused as he'd like it. * The second half of the season will be heavy on the emotional impact. I liked that interview, my highlights:
-Spikey will come back for 2 issues!!!!!!!! It may be in a dream or something, but I want Buffy to know that he's alive. That's fantastic!
-Dru a potential? Interesting theory I must say.
-The second half of the comic will be a lot more intense and better, in a nutshell. That makes me feel a lot more reassured, and excited.
That was an interesting interview, I liked all the random Buffy questions thrown in there. Someone in a suit needs to approach Joss about a Buffy movie...hmmmph....

I liked that interview, my highlights: -Spikey will come back for 2 issues!!!!!!!! It may be in a dream or something, but I want Buffy to know that he's alive. That's fantastic! He was actually kidding about the 2-issue thing (he meant 2 of the 3 issues wherein Buffy and Angel were having continuous sex)... but he did pretty much confirm that Angel and Spike will both be there. But on the same side, I wonder? -The second half of the comic will be a lot more intense and better, in a nutshell. That makes me feel a lot more reassured, and excited. And scared! What are they gonna do to my poor imaginary Scooby friends? *Shudder* |

I giggled at the threesome porn joke.   Love how he said, "Gotta see our boys." I'm very excited to hear that the last half of the season is going to be high on emotional impact and I'm feeling very vindicated that Angel and Spike will be making a real-time appearance. *goes to find Maggie to do a victory dance across the interwebs* |

Great interview! So Drusilla will probably appear in the comics sometime? Sweet! Makes me hope continuity wont be screwed up with what IDW is doing with her.
Very excited to see what happens next with the characters. Very good (or bad) to hear that things get more emotional.

But Spike mentioned in #17 that if Angel fought against good in fulfillment of his prophecy, Spike wouldn't hesitate to kill him.
It seemed like possible foreshadowing, but since Brian Lynch says he has no idea of the future plans for Buffy season 8, maybe not. Unless it was Joss who put in that particular conversation. |

It's entirely possible that Joss did write that particular piece of dialogue (how will we ever know) because Lynch said recently that they'd written the outline in enough detail that certain pieces of dialogue were written all the way through the end. But who knows? |

The second part of the interview is up now. Mostly about Dollhouse this time, and Joss saying something I agree with completely... that TV, and the networks' attitudes, are finally evolving to where they need to be, but they might not be all the way there for a few years yet.
