Doc (Joel Grey), he who kicked Spike's ass and dealt the slices to Dawn in "The Gift" was a presenter at the 81st Annual Academy Awards tonight for Best Supporting Actor. Turns out, he's also an Oscar winner... which hey, news to me.

Yeah that was a surprise! I didn't even recognize his younger self in the pictures/video. I also had no idea he was an Oscar winner. Very cool!

Yeah, I remember reading he won an Oscar, but completely forgot until he was on stage, pretty weird, did not expect that.

Ahaha, that's funny. When I saw the actor on stage, the word "Buffy" popped in my head and I was like "Buffy, Buffy, Buffy, that's the bad guy from Buffy"!!

Ha ha. It's funny whenever I see him I always think of him as the Wizard from Wicked first, then Buffy. It goes OMG The WIZARD OMG BAD GUY FROM BUFFY! I didn't know he had won an Oscar though. That's cool.

Haha! My family was watching it, and he came on, and then my brother was like "HOLY CRAP! It's that long tongue dude from Buffy!" And I proceeded to squeal and start going on about the episodes he was in. Heh.

Ha Ha really...brilliant. I quite liked the character of Doc SPIKE: You don't come near the girl Doc DOC: Why do you even care? I don't smell a soul on you anywhere SPIKE: I made a promise to lady *runs, stabbbed and grabbed* DOC: Oh well then I guess I'll have to give the lady your regrets *tossed over* Amazing scene from the gift. Spikes face is amazing, full of shock and regret that he couldn't save Dawn.

He has had quite a successful career all in all. And, after Buffy he also had a small role on Alias...in which he was soooo creepy!
