I started this AGES ago. I even advertised for it on btvsfigs.
I titled it Somethign Wicked this Way Comes.
I am unsure if I will finish it but I figure it has been on my to do list for so long that I should put it out and get some oppinions on it.
Keep in mind that it is very much a work in progress.
PROLOGUE
In a town like Sunnydale, it is to be expected that the nights will be gloomy but this particular night is especially dank. With a recent lull in the number of vamp attacks in the forefront of your mind, you can’t help but wonder if the reason for this is a sign of things to come. In the past, a few nights of vamp free goodness would have been appreciated but considering the recent events in the Angel saga, a good fight was about the only thing that could keep your now evil-un-dead b-f off of your mind.
The quiet nights are unsettling not only because they were forcing you to deal with your so-called-life-ish teen angst but also because you remember from past experiences that silence is never as golden as you want it to be. In the past, silence has only meant one thing...something so bad is coming that even the vampires have fled town....
1The next day at school your first course of action is to go and recount the previous nights inactivity to Giles. Having had the entire night to concoct the worst possible scenario of what might be coming, you are relived at Giles’ aloofness when you recount the night for him.
“I am sure it is nothing more than your nerves, Buffy. You have an incredible bourdon on your shoulders, it is not at all unnatural for you to try and place you mind on things other than Angelus”, Giles says.
“I know I have been distraction girl lately but this is different”, you say. “I think this may be one of those Spidey sense moments.” You add.
“Again with the cryptic pop-culture references” says Giles.
“My pop-culture tingles are telling me something big is brewing”, You say.
Noticing a sad tone to your voice, Giles asks if something is troubling you.
“I just wish that I could go to Angel for some brooding yet helpful advice. I was starting to get used to him popping up with a hard to figure out clue” you say.
Promising that he will look further into the previous nights inactivity, Giles tells you to stop worrying about thins and directs you to actually try going to you English class for once.

Much to your surprise, English is not the worlds most boring class. In fact, contrary to your previous beliefs, English is actually a very interesting class! Your teacher is lecturing on last nights reading assignment. Had you been in the previous days class, you would have done the reading, well...at least known about it. Normally you wouldn’t regret missing out on reading assignments and long lectures but today you did. The subject being discussed seems almost eerily relevant.
You have heard the Romeo and Juliet saga before and you have even seen DeCaprio and Danes die together but given recent events, you are starting to see the story of two clandestine lovers, meant to be together but torn apart by circumstances out of their control, in an entirely new light.
As interesting as this particular subject is to you, that doesn’t change the fact that you were up all night patrolling and then worrying because of the unsuccessful hunt.
Somewhere around the time that Romeo was on his way to visit the apothecary, and you were about to drift asleep, the class was disrupted by a loud sound coming from the hallway.
Before you know it, a large vampire-esque creature is bursting through the classroom door. This vamp beast is dressed in rags and he has long scraggly hair. Granted most vampires are not the most handsome of creatures but this one is the real (real ugly) deal.
You spring up and into action, kicking the larger than normal sized vamp square in the chest but this particular vamp is so big that you bounce off of him like you are nothing but a rag doll.
Before you have a chance to launch another attack on this behemoth of a vamp, he starts spouting of cryptic lines.
He says,
“ The end of days is drawing near and our dark leader will emerge, glorious and strong, from the deep layers of your wretched earth”.
With your classmates in a state of panic you spring forward, trying yet again, to kill the vampire. Before you can come anywhere close to making steak-to-heart contact with the beast, he snatches you out of mid air, his hands gripping your neck! Just as you begin to pass out from the lack of oxygen, you hear the bell ring.
Waking up from your in class-nap just in time to hear the tragic ending of Romeo and Juliet, you realize that the you have spent the past 35 minutes not fighting a hugemungous vampire but instead, dreaming of what could be the reason for the recent inactivity in Sunnydale.
......................................
You leave class even more confused than you were before you went. Your bad feeling about the last nights hunt seem to be more than bad feelings after all and the whole Romeo and Juliet saga has made you feel even worse about your Angelus situation.
SLAYER CHOICE...
Do you decide to ...
Check in with Giles to let him know about your dream?

Do you decide to...
Head over to Angel’s mansion to follow your original hunch? If yes, continue to 3

Angels mansion is danker than usual but it is not like you are used to a yellow straw welcome mat.
All of the windows are boarded shut and there are rat carcases scattered about on the floor. If it wasn’t in the middle of the day you would assume that the vampires that inhabit this dark mansion were not at home.
As you go deeper into the dark of the mansion things start to look less ans less appealing and more and more appalling. The sparse amount of light that there was is now fading into the distance behind you as you walk farther and farther into the center of the mansion. The farther your instincts take you, you start to notice many more rat carcases on the floor of the mansion. You think that there must be hundreds of them strewn about at your feet. Just as you begin to think that you will not be able to go any farther because of the rats littering the floor keeping you from walking without stepping on one of them, you get a feeling that you are not alone.
Standing motionless in the dark, you take in the sounds around you. You can hear a flame flickering in the distance from a torch that you saw by the front entrance to the abandoned mansion. The wind is howling through the cracks in the boarded windows. The silence you are surrounded by is eerier that what you were expecting to hear. Had you heard a vampire about to strike or a demon sneaking up, you would have known exactly how to react.
Not having heard anything, you decide to turn back before there is something to hear. Still having the feeling that you are being watched is not helping your nerves.
As you reach the front door your feelings of foreboding have turned from feelings to full blown fears. With the exit in sight you start to run twords it. Focusing on the exit and not paying attention to your soundings, you trip over something as you are running. Looking back to see what it was that you tumbled over, you are surprised to learn that your feelings were not wrong...you are indeed not alone.
From the shadows behind you, you see that you hadn’t tripped at all. Coming from the shadows behind you is a pale hand.
After you have gotten to your feet you backtrack to investigate the hand that grabbed at you from the darkness.
Slowly walking back to the mysterious hand, you are suddenly very thankful that you remembered to grab a steak from your locker before skipping out on your fifth period meeting with Giles.
As you reach into your bag you see the hand start to move. Grasping your steak, you yell for the person that is presumably attached to the hand (you never know in sunnydale) not to move.
As the hand grips the floor and starts pulling its attached body out of the shadows and into the torch light, you begin to recognize the curled mass of a body. The figure slowly emerging from the shadows is becoming more and more recognizable. The pale, gaunt creature is Angel.
When Angel says your name, it is reminiscent of the many times he has said it before only this time the passion that used to be in his voice has been replaced by weakness and fear. Instincts tell you to keep back but something else is telling you to rush to his side. You know that this is not really your Angel but something inside of you wants to help him.

Having left class in a stupor of confusion over Angel/Romeo and fearing the worst about your dream of the apocalyptic sort, you have decided that it is a better idea to go pay a visit to Giles rather than head over to Angel’s mansion.
Giles confusion when you tell him about your dream is very unsettling. It can’t mean anything good if Giles doesn’t immediately know what book to look in or what Watcher’s diary might contain a text that would be helpful. To make matters worse, Giles has begun to clean his glasses incessantly, and that is never a good sign.
Of corse it probably wasn’t very helpful that all you could remember from your dream was that the Vampire was freakishly strong and also that he spouted off a few cryptic lines about masters from the deep depths of earth and the end of days drawing nearer.
Giles insisted that everyone skipped their remaining classes so they could remain in the library until your dream had been interpreted, after all, the last time you had a bad dream the Master almost took over the world...resulting in your prophesied death being brought into fruition.
Approximately four hours and seven thousand, three hundred and thirty three minutes later, Willow seemed to be on the verge of a breakthrough.
Xander had found something in one of Giles’ many books that said something about a giant vampire, not dissimilar from the one you were forced to face on your 18th birthday. This vampire was signified not only by his size but also his threadbare clothing and brute strength.
Willow, as usual, took to the internet to try and find out more about the demon that Xander found.
After a short while, Willow turned up a few pages of results regarding the best that attacked you in your dream.
Not surprisingly, all of the information that Willow could find alluded to the fact that this vamp was special...different from the rest.
The text said that the vamp was a follower of Scajon, a brutal and merciless killer of vampires and demons.
Thinking that it might not be all bad having a brutal vamp killer on your side, you wonder why your slayer senses are on such high alert for someone with the same mission statement as yourself.
I titled it Somethign Wicked this Way Comes.
I am unsure if I will finish it but I figure it has been on my to do list for so long that I should put it out and get some oppinions on it.
