I think so. Lindsay was a strong character with some good leanings who might could have made something of himself with a better role model than Holland Manners. He seemed to think very highly of Angel but Angel hated him from the beginning. His death seems deliberately demeaning and unnecessary and it's certainly not one of Angel's finer moments.

Lindsay had helped them in the past... just to screw them over again later. Making them regrett ever trusting him to begin with. I don't blame Angel one bit for this. Lindsay got enough chances, at some point you have to stop giving them out otherwise you will be a door mat for every evil being with a charming smile and an angelic voice.

I hear what you are saying, but trusting someone is one thing, while murdering them is another. I see Lindsey's death as a murder of a human being. It wasn't self defense, because at the time Lorne's or Angel's life wasn't in danger. When Buffy and Faith were involved in a human's death (and he wasn't a good human) it was seen as a murder, with police involvment and all. I don't think Buffy would support Angel's decision either.

I think the problem with things like Angel killing Drogyn is that we'll trying to apply it to the real world. In the real world I would not accept Angel's actions. Being a fictional character I have no problem with it. I also think that it shows how much Angel has changed. I doubt that Season 1 Angel would have killed Drogyn. I think that it's a sign of character development for Angel for better or worst.
