Here's a great interview held recently with J. August Richards about his new show, "Raising the Bar" on TNT. www.ifmagazine.com/feature.asp?article=2995It's awesome how excited he got after learning what was going on with Gunn in "Angel: After the Fall," and that he would still be interested in playing Gunn again one day. |

Thanks for posting that. I really enjoyed reading his interview. J. seems like such a nice guy.
I still think it would be great to see a TV movie or something to wrap up the Angel series. What can I say...I'm still holding out for a Buffy movie and Serenity Sequel as well. I'm an eternal optimist I guess.
Now if only Joss actually had the time to work on all those projects.

You know, it actually surprises me a little how most of the actors don't follow the comics... you'd think that they would want to know what's going on with the character that they spent so many years of their life portraying...

iF: Speaking of Joss Whedon, have you checked out the ANGEL comic books at all? RICHARDS: No, what’s going on with them? iF: Your character Gunn got vamped and he’s now the Big Bad of L.A.
RICHARDS: You’re kidding! Oh, my God. I need to see this. That is crazy. I was told that that was what was going to happen if we were to continue or do a TV movie, but I’m so happy to actually see it happening somewhere. I always thought Gunn’s end should be, he should turn into a vampire and kill himself. That’s always how I saw that character ending. I hope I get to act that one day, I really do. I’m still connected to that character._____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I love Richards' reaction and I really hope he does read up. I think he'll be really pleased to see all the excitement of After the Fall. Plus, there has been some amazing art featuring Gunn - I bet he'll enjoy seeing himself in the character on the page. Add on the amazing scene of Gunn and Angel in Issue 12 and there'll be a lot for him to enjoy.
