The episode after Lilah dies Wesley has to decapitate her to prevent her from possibly rising. During these few scenes a ghost/spirit/vision comes to Wesley in the form of Lilah. I always thought it was The First. What do you think?
**I'm not talking about Lilah in the Season 4 finale "Home". That was her and Wolfram & Hart setting that up. I'm talking about the Lilah during her decapitation**

I don't think it was. Mostly because it makes absolutely no sense for it to be The First and it was made pretty clear that the whole thing was just in Wesley's mind.
Lilah: "Lover, I'm not even here. I'm just a figment in your devilishly handsome head."

Wesley's imagination. Why would the first bother with Lilah's body? Didn't it have business in Sunnydale?

Lol I know, I know... I just thought it would be a cool cross-over thought at the very least

I actually wish it was because it would have been very much in character for the first

I think it was in his head. Though I, too, look for little connections such as these in both Buffy and Angel.
