MAJOR, seriously, spoilers for tonight's episode. Best episode in awhile. I can't believe Riley died! I felt terrible for her, loved when she was kicking Jesse's ass. I mostly read negative things about the character, but I really enjoyed her presence on the show, Levin Rambin was great. Cameron was the standout this episode though, Summer Glau was epic. The beginning with the bird is probably one of my favorite scenes of the series. Really interested in how she really feels about John, sucked when she gave him the termination button-thingy.

I agree, great episode. Started out pretty slow, but really picked up. The entire Riley situation just continued to build and build, and it was sad to finally see her go. Her fight with crazy future chick (wtf is her name) was great though, and I am glad Riley gave her a beating before getting shot. Cameron's conflict in this episode was great to watch.

I really liked tonight's ep. The pacing was great, Summer's performance was stellar, as she really has nailed that whole "becoming more human but still kinda lost" thing down. I loved how she kept saying "I don't know"... something which she has never really said before, since she's always been the one with the answers, and apparently is the one who knows "Future-John" the best. It's becoming more and more textual (well, ya know, less subtext-y) that Cameron is very special to "Future-John". Evidently that's a big problem of sorts, since Jessie (crazy Aussie future chick) really wants her gone. Probably tied to the fate of the future somehow... Jessie said that she wasn't here to stop the war, but to win it. That may be very telling as to what her real motives are, and I'm glad that more of that will surface soon enough (from the looks of the preview, next week!).
What I disliked about the episode, and the entire season in general so far is how they don't utilize the cast very well. Some episodes, you hardly see anyone but Sarah. Then you get entire episodes where Sarah is almost non-existent. Same for the other characters... Cameron's been sidelined pretty much most of the season. A few of these kinds of episodes is understandable, but the entire S2 storyline has up till recently felt like a garbled mess. I'm sure in retrospect, I'll come to see it as a cohesive whole, but right now... there are just way too many tangents, and I'm sure a good story editor could weave all the elements into a more cohesive project. Or at least one that feels more so anyway.

Okay I got a little choked up in this episode and that NEVER happens to me. I try to sustain being a 'manly man'. In these last few episodes I am going to lose mega man points. Ha! I just love this show, it;s that simple. Action or no action I love the characters, even if they are just sitting around talking about Riley, JD, Cromarite it's all good. I do not understand why the ratings dropped again. It only got 3 million on Friday, last weeks was 3.42 million. I hope FOX seriously consider the DVR ratings, Hulu, dvd sales into consideration. Plus the fact that T4 is coming out so they will more or less be getting free advertisment for the show. Why not throw a quick trailer of the show in with the film before it starts??? Loved the Cameron/John scenes. Jesse/Riley fight Derek seems to be setting up his own game seen as the Connors have been 'distracted' Over all a very solid episode, better than the last few we have gotten, not that I didn't like then. Afterall the show is called "The Sarah Connor Chroncles" so it was ncie to get some time dedicated to Sarah but I'm glad it's done now and we can get all the characters back and start focusing on the over all arc/plot. 8/10

I loved that scene so much too. It was so ruthless and real, even heartbreaking. I admit I teared up when Riley was beating Jesse with the statue-thingy. Damn Jesse, such an easy character to hate, and it's fun.

Wow, I feel really slow now. I should have known what Jesse really had planned for Riley. For some reason I just knew she was going to die this episode. Dude, Riley owned Jesse in that fight. For reals. I was quite surprised since Jesse is the one with the training and all that, right? I never really appreciated Riley as a character until now. This show keeps on getting better and better. I hope its not going to get canceled. That would suck. And I thought Cameron was really going to mess her up when they were in the shed. I was on the edge of me seat, waiting for a beat down.

Last night's ep was good, pretty solid across the board, but in general, lacking some of the emotional punches that the last couple of eps had. I guess it's because it was mostly Jesse centered, and while I understand where the character is coming from (her sense of betrayal, rage, etc), it doesn't endear her to me. Am curious as to whether or not Derek actually executed her in the end... that was left pretty ambiguous, but then again, Derek has lied before, and he's done things he deemed for the greater good, against anyone's wishes.
It's interesting how Cameron is supposed to be John's trusty sidekick in the future. Time travel makes my head hurt, but I'm wondering if he sent her back in time to his younger self so that she might be at his side to bring about a particular outcome. I especially liked the lines: "I'm sorry I ever doubted you... Not you. Her" But I must say that I felt some relief at the end of the episode when John cries in Sarah's lap. I've been feeling the emotional void between those two, and it took away something that was such an integral part of S1.
Furthermore, Future John's plan is crazy intriguing. Why would he ask the machines to join him? Was there some kind of faction war between the machines... the superior T-1000s (and similar advanced models) advancing beyond their predecessors and wanting other things. Does that explain why Weaver went apeshit on the coltan plant because of a leaked call? This season could end on a potentially epic note, but it could also go out with a major question mark that won't be answered if the show gets axed. Or it could do both, and it'll still kinda suck (the situation, not the show). Here's hoping that Fox has developed some sort of foresight.

I thought last night's episode may have been the best of the series. For me, it was probably the most emotional. I actually fell in love with Jesse's character. I never despised her like most fans do, but did get on my nerves a few times. Finally understanding why she was doing what she did, how she feels about it, and what she lost totally changed my views of the character. I felt pity for her.
Brought up all kinds of new questions, which sort of makes me mad because there is no way they will be resolved in the last three episodes of the season, probably even the series.

I've never despised Jesse. But I've never really felt for her either. As I said, last night's ep helped me understand her, but it didn't endear her to me. I can understand the motivation, but what she did was so horribly inhuman that it's kinda ironic. But I guess that's the point. Only 3 more eps eh? I haven't been keeping track, but I figured that there'd be 4 more. Glad my math wasn't too far off.

Yeah, that's what I'm liking about the whole thing. I want to agree with Jesse, but what she did to a young, innocent girl is disgusting. Loved how ambiguous the ending was.
I really hope if FOX cancels the show, the story will continue somehow.

I really hope if FOX cancels the show, the story will continue somehow. Comics? I doubt that a movie will be made, especially since T: SCC is in direct contradiction with the Terminator canon (as established by the previous 3 movies, even though canonicity is problematic within those movies anyway).

Yeah, comics would be great. I also like the idea of a direct-to-DVD movie or two. Wouldn't be uncommon for a Sci-Fi show.

I haven't watched the show lately but I love spoilers. What does Jesse do to the girl? Murder?

I haven't watched the show lately but I love spoilers. What does Jesse do to the girl? Murder? Yes, but it's even worse that. In the future, Jesse found a scared teenage girl, Riley. Jesse wanted Cameron out of John's life. So Jesse and Riley time traveled to present time where Jesse made Riley befriend John and keep Cameron away from him. Drama, drama, drama... Riley and John fell for each other... more drama.... Riley figures out Jesse's plan, make John love her, Cameron kills her, John destroys Cameron. So Jesse and Riley got in a brutal fight that ended with Jesse shooting Riley. I suck at explaining things. Hope it wasn't confusing.

hitnrun017: Didn't Stargate or some other sci-fi show have a couple of direct-to-DVD movies? I could be wrong, but I thought they did. That would be cool. Skytte: Click the spoiler tag. There was murder involved, yes. She shot the girl. But it was the scheme she cooked up that was a lot more cold-blooded. She brought Riley back with her from the future to lure John away from Cameron. The plan involved getting Cameron to kill Riley, and thus turning John away from her. When Riley found out, she attacked Jesse, and Jesse shot her in self-defense. EDIT: E: Your explanation made sense to me. Hell, it's more detailed than mine.

Crap! I missed the first twenty minutes because I was out buying comic. *goes to Hulu* I'm glad that everyone knows about Jesse and what she was up to. Is it me or did Cameron seem more humanish in the future? So future John Connor wanted to see if some machines wanted to join him. I'm a little... no, very confused by that. Hopefully it was be explained soon. Connor finally showed us some emotion when he laid his head down on Sarah's lap and started crying. I wonder if Derrick shot Jesse. I was hoping she wouldn't even though she deserved it.

Found this description of the S2 finale (April 10) at Comics Continuum. Click on the spoiler tags for the reveal. "The Connors come face-to-face with Weaver in a confrontation that shakes John to the core and changes his reality forever. Nothing will be the same after the season finale." Also found a spoiler for this week's ep. TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES: "TO THE LIGHTHOUSE" Fox has released three images from "To the Lighthouse," the Friday, March 27 episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicle. Here's how Fox describes the episode: "Fearing for her life, Sarah stashes John in a safe house. Cameron and Derek struggle to work together after she reveals a big secret. John Henry becomes compromised." Did a little more digging at Comics Continuum and found some details for the penultimate ep of S2 (April 3). TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES: "ADAM RAISED A CAIN" Fox has released two images from "Adam Raised a Cain," the Friday, April 3 episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Fox has yet to release a description of the episode. In the images, John (Thomas Dekker) and Cameron (Summer Glau) watch a breaking news story from a store window. Click on the thumbnails for larger images and look for more on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles soon here in The Continuum.
