I really hope this gets picked up for a new season. Last weeks episode was one of the best in the series, and the final few of the season look like they will be addressing pretty much all that we have been waiting for.

The ratings have been slowly climbing for the past three episodes, and 49% of the viewers watch it on DVR. I'm still not holding my breath for a third season, but if it keeps going up during the last three, I'll have a glimmer of hope.

WTF! Why the hell couldn't the producers have jumped to this final arc much faster? The whole bunch of middle episodes were unquestionably filler. Sure, a few nuggets here and there, but for the most part, filler. I'm just wondering how much stuff can be covered in the next couple of episodes so that it doesn't feel like we're being force-fed info non-stop.
The episode in general was good. Nowhere near the emotional caliber of the last few eps. So... Charlie's dead. Kinda saw it coming, especially in the slow-mo scene, where he flips the switch but doesn't make any effort to make it to the boat. Wonder how Sarah will take it.
Regarding Sarah... she seemed a wee bit fatalistic about the lump in her breast. The moment I saw her move Charlie's hands there, I knew that it wasn't a romantic gesture... But I do like how she returned to form immediately when she found out about impending danger. What didn't make any sense was how she knew that assassins were coming for her right there and then. She's had the tracker in her boob for a while now, so why would they be attacked right then? Also, the audience fakeout wasn't appreciated. The defibrillator wasn't supposed to kill her, but why fake the passing out? She could have just assumed the position instead of slumping into an apparent faint. That, I felt was just playing suspense for suspense sake.
The John Henry subplot was intriguing, but again, it's feeling like too much too late. I guess we'll see, but really, if the show isn't renewed for a new season, at this point, I don't see how this can end in any way but with too many unanswered questions.

Unfortunately it's been said that the season will end with a cliffhanger that will blow fan's minds. I kind of am disappointed with how the last half of this season is moving along. The episodes are great, some amazing... but if there is a more than huge chance your show will be cancelled, why have things move so slowly? Use the 9 episodes to tie up everything you can. The Sarah Connor "trilogy", while they were good episodes and were a great character study, they are pretty much pointless. Those three episodes could have been used for epic-ness.
But yeah, this episode was good. Really loved all the Sarah/John and Derek/Cameron interaction.

can i jump in and ask how many seasons are there? I've just bought season 1 and waiting for it, sounds like it will be a good show!! Right now, I think we're on the third season.

No, we're on the second season. A third season is what many would like to hear, but the possibility of cancellation is pretty high.

Well Dark Angel was cancelled after S2... I don't know why the companies continue to cancel some good shows (good to me, maybe not the masses, but even still!!) lol... I'm kinda embarrassed about the fact that I kinda got into Dark Angel. I was disappointed that the show got cancelled just when the mythos of the show got interesting. But the last episode was actually quite well-written, and gave just enough closure. Also... Jessica Alba pre-blond-ish hair was a plus.

I was a fan of Dark Angel too, and was pretty upset when it was canceled. It definitely wasn't a perfect show, but I really did enjoy the overall mythology. Season 2 got a little silly, and I haven't seen the show since it was on the air, so I bet I wouldn't like it as much if I saw it again, but it was definitely enjoyable. Can't believe I was only 12-13 when it was on... Doesn't seem like that long ago. Maybe I will pick up the DVD's one of these days.

Great show tonight. Can't believe they shot Derek, it happened so fast, gave me a sick feeling in my stomach. I love it! I'm really looking forward to the finale. If this is the last show of the series, looks like it will be all out suspense.

Really good episode. Shocking about Derek being shot, but he was next in line anyway, for someone being killed on the show. Sarah's pretty untouchable, since the show is called "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles". Kill John, and it's all over. Cameron may not be as necessary as those two, but she's still a pretty big part of the show, and it's doubtful that she would go, before the end. Wondered about Cameron's comment about Sarah losing weight, implying actual cancer, just not breast cancer. I don't remember this, but has the type of cancer that Sarah apparently died from ever been identified on the show? Brain tumor perhaps... which could explain some of the hallucinations... yeah, borrowing from Grey's Anatomy there. Highly intrigued by Weaver's comment about how John Henry was vital for the survival of man... really hoping that it'll at least be partially addressed in the finale.

Brain tumor perhaps... which could explain some of the hallucinations... yeah, borrowing from Grey's Anatomy there. In Terminator 3 it was said that Sarah died from leukemia, and I am pretty sure it was said in Season 1 too when she went to check for her illness after jumping through time. This, to me, says that Weaver's goal is to end Judgement Day. Just the fact that she is even thinking about man's survival, when she definitely knows what will eventually happen, makes me think she has some sort of plan to end Judgement Day. I definitely hope we get some closure next week, regarding Weaver and John Henry. This episode was absolutely insane. Killing Derek within the first fifteen minutes was just...crazy. I was not prepared for that and it took me most of the episode to snap out of that funk. I loved the ending though, with John Henry and Savannah singing while Sarah gets caught by the police. Considering there is very little chance we will see a Season 3, I am just going to try and enjoy next week's episode. Chances are we won't get much closure though, which will really be a shame.

At first I didn't because of Cromartie but after this episode and watching him trying to save Savannah, I warmed up to him. I was never a fan of Derek. Did anyone else find it funny when Savannah told Weaver that she couldn't sing? (Shirley is the lead singer of Garbage).

We will get a season three. Perhaps not a full season. It will be picked up for 12-13 episodes and then get a 'Tru Calling' hit. Anyway... I LOVE THIS SHOW!! Take away the odd Sarah dream and crazy episodes and season two has kicked a$$. Charley gone, Jesse gone, Riley gone and now Derrek. Fantastic. The ending to the last episode where Sarah was getting beat on was brutal. Very nicley done. Shame there is only one episode left of season two...then it's off to season three. I know why the show slipped a bit in the middle of season two. It was because they never expected to be picked up for the back 9. So all the episodes we are seeing now was supposed to be shown a while back, but when they got the go ahead for the extra few episodes they thought "Wow...okay what do we do" Josh Friedman said that they went to the big board and jotted down ideas. They chose the best ones and then they obviously got made. So with these 'filler' episodes now taking over the middle we've had to wait a while for the story to get back on track. Poor work I'll admit. The show runners should have been more prepared but still they did do well and they are more than making up for it now! So the question is would you all have rathered season two was 14 episodes long instead of 22 and they just skipped from 'Mr Ferguson is Ill Today' right to 'Ourselves Alone'. That way there is no "three dots" stuff and we skip a lot of the filler. I know we still got some bits of important info. Mainly about John Henry and Catherine Weaver but that could have easily been added into the episodes later. What do you all think? Overall an amazing episode. Loved 'Today is the Day parts 1&2' and To The Lighthouse. The show is really fighting for it's third season and as I said before I went on my mini rant I think it will get it. Mainy due to the buzz around these last few episodes and T4: Salvation. DVR's will be a plus aswell. I've read on a few sites that they have been quite high. T4 proves that there is still a Terminator audience waiting and wanting more. FOX just has to show them where TSCC is and get them to sit down for a bit. Re-schedule the show away from the Friday and then just shoot out promos everywhere. T4 will leave viewers with a taste for more Terminator so throw in a TSCC trailer on before the film. Okay now I'm tired. lol

A full season order of 22 is always better than 13 episodes. The "filler" episodes were all pretty good, if you ask me. They added a lot to the show. My only main issue with this season was that I didn't like how the main four (Sarah, John, Cameron and Derek) were always so splintered and split up. I love every scene where they are all together. Other than that, I have enjoyed the heck out of this season.

I agree with Wyndam, the dynamic between the characters is what I've missed most from Season 1. There have still been some great moments, but the characters solving problems together like in Season 1 is something I've missed. The development of the characters have been superb though. Another thing that has irked me this season is how disjointed the storyline has been. Things are brought up and then totally ignored for episodes. Currently the town that Skynet monitors and the H-K that shot out of the water is bugging me the most. That happened 7 episodes ago I think... hasn't been mentioned once since. Still loving this season though. Both seasons balance out. Season 1 had an amazing linear storyline with some character development and Season 2 has a messy storyline with amazing character development.

Do we know for sure that we'll get a S3? Is there a link to support this optimism? If there is, please post it. Thanks much.

Concerning the Season 2 finale leak, this was posted by one of the higher ups:
"Glad everyone’s excited for Friday — just popping by to point out that our finale episode, “Born to Run,” was not sent out to any reviewers in advance — we wanted to preserve the enjoyment for all of our fans! Hope that should clear up any mess."
And there really isn't any optimism for a Season 3 at this point. I just don't see how it can happen, barring a miracle.

One more episode to go. It'll be sad to see the series have an abrupt end, but it's had a nice short run. Saddest of all though was that we never got see a really "close" John and Sarah, with the exception of him crying on her lap at the end "Today is the Day - Part II," this season. Their relationship is quite moving I think, and I was almost in tears myself during that ending scene.
