i really like this show so far. i originally was just going to watch it b/c of Joshua Jackson (since i'm not a big J.J. Abrams fan) but it's actually turning out to be a pretty cool show.

um anna isnt the best female lead. she actually seems very wrong for the part and that comes from me and my mother whos a screenplay writer. Different strokes, different strokes. She seems more than quite right for the part. gotta agree i really like her for the part. great show imo i am hooked :vampirebite:

So I'm really liking this show so far. I've seen a lot of people complaining that it is going to be very "monster of the week" style, but I really like that. Buffy Season 1, Angel Seasons 1 & 5 were like that. They had very standalone episodes, but they were connected with a larger, over-lapping arc.
I heard someone say that this was our generation's X-Files. And to think about it that way is awesome. I'm a huge fan of the X-Files and I think it's great to have something like this one TV again.
I was, initially, disappointed in the premiere. It just wasn't what I was expecting. It was a good show, but I guess the hype made me expect more than what it as. The second episode was much better because I knew more of what to expect.
One thing, though... I don't think JJ Abrams is even involved in the show, other than his production company producing it. He hasn't written any episodes, he didn't direct the pilot, and he's not the show runner. I'm pretty sure his name is just being thrown in there in order garner an audience. So I'm not expecting too much of his "Lost" or "Alias" styles in the show... but then again, I could be wrong because the shows share a lot of the same staff.
Anyway, that's my rundown for now.

Finally got around to watching the second episode. Hate to admit that I was mostly bored. There were a few interesting moments, but it just didn't hold my attention much and I'm not caring about any of the characters. I'll probably continue watching for a few more episodes, but it doesn't seem like a show that I'll be able to watch regularly.

I love this show and find it a lot more not-predictable than most of the monster-of-the-week Buffy and Angel episodes.

I'm also really enjoying the show. I had gotten behind on my show watching over the last two weeks, but I finally got a chance to watch the first two episodes, and I thought they were great. The possibilities with this show are pretty much endless (in terms of the show's mysteries), and I think the cast is pretty good. John Noble as Walter Bishop was excellent casting and fun to watch. I hope this show sticks around, because I am already a fan.

So I'm really into politics (go Obama!) and all, but this is getting stupid. Why do they schedule debates on the nights when my shows are on? I only watch two shows: Fringe and The Office. The Office was off last week because of the debate and now Fringe is off. Meh.

I don't understand why the debates have to be on every single major network channel. Just put it on CNN or any of news channels, if people want to watch the debate, they'll watch it. I see no need for it to be on every single channel.

Thank you! And why do they have to cancel my shows? Seriously... it's only my shows. lol. I know that's exaggerating.... but I'm upset about this. I have two times a week that I look forward to kicking back and relaxing and watching TV. Meh.

the season premiere was AWESOME! I felt really bad for Charlie... but i knew it was coming. since he was fired back in July the only thing i have to criticize: if Fringe does a big bad, i'm not positive they'd be able to pull it off... with the shapeshifters, i honestly think that that could bomb the series...

I don't think it's "shapeshifters" - I just think they used that as a plot device to put an inside agent spying on the Fringe division. I'm excited. This show is some gooood sci-fi, no lie.

i'm bumping up this thread...i hope i'm not the only who has continued to watch the show ;D
Anyways i have to say that this past episode "Peter" would have to be the best episode as of yet. It was so heart-breaking and i've been waiting for this episode every since i found out that Peter was from the alt. dimension. So now we finally know the story of Peter and i wasn't disappointed, it was awesome.
I also loved the 80's retro style of opening credits for this flashback episode...lol, very funny.

I saw a not yet released episode at Wonder Con yesterday. It was very strange. I always thought the show would be horrible. Turned out it wasn't. But not seeing the show before made the whole Peter storyline very overwhelming.

'Cause I do that.

The last episode was phenomenal. It was quite upsetting and just totally had the "wow" factor. I also did admire how well they made Walter "younger" and how the Fringe images that popped up along with the font looked more dated. Brilliant.
So question,
What on earth do you think the parents in the other alternate universe believed happened to their son? I can only imagine how heartbreaking that argument would be.

So question, What on earth do you think the parents in the other alternate universe believed happened to their son? I can only imagine how heartbreaking that argument would be. That's what i've been thinking.....the alt mom must've blamed herself for everything which makes it so heartbreaking because the mom(s) were so loving and wonderful and to have that on her conscious for the rest of her life must be horrible. Which leads to another question: Do you think there's going to be an episode(s) showing alt. Walter coming to this world or Walter going back to that one?.....or maybe even Peter going back to the alt world?
