Did anyone else go see it?
SPOILER FREE REVIEW
I can honestly tell you that I have never been more frightened watching a movie then I have tonight. If you are sick of all the teeny-bopper PG-13 remakes, this will be a breath of fresh air. Easily the best horror movie in awhile. The characters are real and relatable. Sure, this movie has its share of horror movie cliches, predictible moments and the "oh my god, what are you thinking" moments, but the good strongly outweighs the bad. The Strangers is one of those horror movies that stay with you for awhile, for instance, I just took my dog for a walk and paused at every weird sound I heard.
Overall, I gave it a 7/10. (Which in my movie rating gradebook means worth seeing)

I'm probably going to see it tommorow. I'm really excited about it but the trailer doesn't really give us much insight into the story.

I saw it today and loved every minute of it. Liv Tyler was fantastic, and I usually can't stand her. Her portrayal of fear was so incredibly real to me. She was SO vulnerable throughout the whole movie. This isn't an Oscar-worthy, brilliant dramatic thriller...it's a horror movie. It's classic 70s, suspenseful horror. Halloween meets When A Stranger Calls (the 70s original, of course). For what the movie IS (a 70s style horror flick)...I give it a 5 out of 5. I thoroughly enjoyed it. MAJOR SPOILERS!!!I agree, Liv Tyler was amazing. Probably one of the best performences I've seen in a horror movie. I was rooting for her the entire time. The Strangers were probably the scariest killers in a horror movie too. Just the entire concept freaks me out, "because you were home". If I ever saw anyone around me in those masks, I'd just feeze up. I really wish they would've left the part where The Man in the Mask just stands behind Kristen out of the trailer. It's easily one of the scariest things I've seen, and I could only imagine what my reaction would be had I not already seen it. "Is Tamera home?".... I'm getting chills right now. Some things I didn't like: The main dude telling Kristen to stay in the house while he goes in the barn with a gun, it was predicitible he was going to shoot his friend as soon as the friend showed up and the last second where Kristen wakes up and screamed was kinda lame. Another thing that creeped me out beyond belief, is how the strangers dressed them up after capturing them. They changed Kristen back into her dress and the dude in his jacket, probably wanting them to look nice while they stabbed them to death, or how Dollface say the engagement ring and wanted to set them up like they were getting married.... Scariest Parts: Dollface appearing between the slit of the door, Pin-up walking behind a crawling Kristen and when The Man in the Mask tackles Kristen. The thing the freaked me out the most about that was, I was expecting some big cliche that he was going to slowly walk through the door and get her, instead, he just completely slams into her. Just another reason why I will never live in the middle of no where.

wow....interesting reading these cause I thought the movie was awful!!! totally not scary. But I'm a major horror buff so very few things scare me.. I did wonder however...how much was glenn howerton paid hahaha on that note I made an agreement with my friend I saw it with: If I were to go to her house, and have a brick thrown in my windshield...I'm calling the cops before I get out of the car. Then If I'm stupid enough to go in the house (nerves and all), I am to announce my presence straight away or else I deserve whatevers coming
