I just got home from seeing the movie Funny Games, starring Naomi Watts.
The movie is about a family of three whose vacation home is invaded by two courteous young men who, for no apparent reason, torture them.
First off, a movie like this could have easily been ruined by bad acting. Naomi Watts gives a great performance. Funny Games is a very different. It's filled with camera angles that last long periods of time, a character that speaks to the camera, and time, itself, rewinds. Over all, I think it's very well done. Even though it's very slow moving, I had no desire to leave...even though a few did!
To anyone who is interested in film making, this might be a movie to check out.

I heard that the acting in this was phenomenal on all accounts, I'd like to see it. Plus I am big fans of Naomi Watts and Tim Roth.

This movie actually looks pretty amazing, its funny really, a friend of mine and I were talking about how most horror/thriller movies these days are going down the drain, and like an act of fate, the preview for Funny Games came on lol. Either way it looks like a great remake of the original, especially since it was remade by the director of the original. This movie really reminds me of A Clockwork Orange in some aspect, I suppose it would mainly be the fact that it's so brutal and outrageous and yet it is performed with this unsettling grace that one wouldn't expect from such gruesome actions.
