Gosh, I know this was probably talked about A TON when the episode came out but can some explain what the hell that was at the end of Orpheus?
Was Fred hitting on Willow?

No, but I think it's safe to say that Willow's self-esteem has gone up since she meet Kennedy. Willow must have thought that Fred's eager interest meant that she was interested.

Lol, I love Willow's "sorry" grimace as she lets her down gently.

The only thing that made me wonder a bit was Fred's reaction to the "I'm seeing someone" thing. It was just a quiet (disappointed?) "Oh", rather than a "Huh--what are you talking about?" sort of expression. Really, before "Spin the Bottle" did anyone suspect that Fred smoked pot back in her younger days? So who's to say she hasn't slept with a chick or two once upon a time, as well? I think she had more layers than we maybe gave her credit for...

That was an interesting scene. Willow was definitely very into Fred throughout the whole episode and poor Fred didn't have clue, she just kept on being herself.
To be honest I'm surprised Fred didn't have a bigger reaction to Willow's comment at the end...kind of like "Why did she just say that?" I think a little light bulb moment for Fred would have been funny to see.

Fred's reaction always came off as a confused reaction rather than a disappointed one to me, kinda of like a "Why would she say that?" grimace. I liked that all we got from Fred was her confused look, as it just makes the scene funnier. ;D

I definitely agree with all of you guys on this. I was right there with Fred on the whole "What?!" when Will said she was seeing someone. Fred was being her cute normal self and I always thought that Willow was into her. It was cute but funny as well.

Willow was into Fred, she slyly asks Wesley "what's her story" and gives a little guilty look. She clearly fancies her.

I have always wondered this! In my head, Fred was kinda checking Willow out but she didn't know she was. Fred's such a sweetheart, when she really likes someone she really can't help but pour out adoration in heaps, especially when she really admires someone. I think she was definitely attracted to Willow's intelligence and self-confidence and especially her strength, but probably didn't perceive that her omgfangirlsquee! reactions might have implied a bit more of an intimate interest than she knew she was putting out there. Poor Fred. lol I am a complete sucker for brainy chicks like her and Willow. Even if they're not gay, and I'm not even feeling any sexy vibes, I tend to gush and smile and talk 90 miles an hour and blush and, well, flirt, even when I'm not meaning to. I'm just that crazy about brainiacs.

I never considered Fred to be hitting on Willow. The girl has been in love with the three major males on the show (and every one of them has loved her also. So have I, in a 'friend' way, so fraking much I cried like a baby in A Hole in the World), so it never crossed my mind. But just like Fred and Wes, Willow didn't really made an effort to hide her interest in Fred. And I thought it was cute, u know, Willow thinking something like "I'm seeing Kennedy but Fred is so cute and smart and her smile is so tender that it's stronger than me and it's hard to resist...". And in the end she resists. But it'd be SO funny if Willow indeed tried to kiss Fred. Gosh, I'd pay a million to see the funny of it. Btw, wasn't it funny to see Willow asking Wes (Alyson's husband) about Fred? LOL

I always viewed it as Fred being attracted to Willow but not even realising it until Willow said she was seeing someone. That would explain why Fred kinda looked taken aback when Willow told her she was seeing someone, because Fred being so bouncy and joyful, didnt even realise how obvious she was making it.

I am so happy we got to see Willow & Fred interact! It's great b/c Fred was kind of like the Willow-esque character on 'Angel' & they were both so brainy and awkward. If they worked side by side regularly, they could probably save the world every time like it was nothing! I wish we got to see more of them together =( Oh & Wesley's reaction to the Willow/Fred flirtation was priceless!!!! Yes, there was chemistry between them! I like the idea of Willow & Fred better than Willow & Kennedy to be honest.
