Oh great they're about to [censored!] up one of the show's most perfect exits. I get bringing back characters because laziness and it tickles the lamer fans but how about ones that didn't clearly play out and die on screen? What you said really frustrated me! I for one hated how Cordy was treated in season 4 and although her exit in season 5 kind of redeemed her character and gave her a proper ending I would love to see her come back in some form. I would not want her to come back as a living human but maybe some "power that be" where she had some kind of influence and tilted the scale so that Angel et all had a fighting chance. Besides her "death" was very ambiguous. Cordy was in the entire episode as a physical, living being and then she disappeared, there is no reason why she could not come back in the form she did then. I'm not Lame and I am not a Lame fan so [censor] off! If that was to harsh I'm sorry and I usually like what you have to say but you really hit a nerve with me on that comment. Cordy was indeed raped in season 4 but I think she was perfectly redeemed in You're Welcome. I think she got the very best exit of either show, but I'll only think that as long as it actually is her exit. The writers themselves admitted that there was nowhere left to take the character so it shouldn't be suprising that I think bringing her back reeks of self-endulgence. Sorry to frustrate you though x

I think it's either Nina or Cordy.
Maybe Kate Lockley?

Sorry to frustrate you though x Again, you're assuming a LOT before the issue comes out. Imagine this: We are in 2004. An ad for "The Girl in Question" comes out. We see Fred! Fred is alive! Fred and Wesley are in the same room! People, upon seeing this, would either wait until the episode comes out to see the context of WHY Fred is there, or people would react like you are: OMG THEY JUST KILLED HER HOW IS SHE BACK ALREADY!?!?!?!?! Well, when those people see the episode, they'll realize how silly they were being. Fred wasn't back. If this is Cordy, she probably won't be back. At least not to stay. I mean, a little logic shows that she isn't around now. "First Night" takes place before "After the Fall." She isn't around in "After the Fall." If she does come back, it won't be to stay. But don't condem a story that we know absolutely nothing about save a shadowy little picture.

I tried my darnedest to see who that is in the picture. Then, I thought - it reminds me of Buffy. Well, if Buffy could daydream about both Angel and Spike over at DarkHorse, then why can't Buffy visit Angel at IDW - perhaps in his head - or a version of her (as in "What would Buffy do?) in the comic. And if it is Cordy - perhaps she is the form his conscience is taking. Lots of great debate and suggestions for this issue!

Bryan already said at Whedonesque it's not Buffy.
I almost resembles Anne a little bit...I think it would be cool if they brought her back.

Bryan already said at Whedonesque it's not Buffy. Doesn't rule out The First playing Buffy. Just a thought. I'm leaning towards Cordelia, though. Mostly because I'm assuming it's someone we've already met, and Lindsay doesn't have the rack to pull off that outfit. MB x

Gwen looks like Katie Holmes! (regular cover, not variant)

Someone at Whedonesque brightened and enhanced the image and it appears to be Cordy wearing an outfit resembling one she wore in a SEASON ONE (buffy or angel, idk) promo with David Boreanaz

I'm fine with any female character from ATS... I'd really like it to be Cordy, though.
Anyway, I don't get why the figure had to be so tiny on the cover... It looks just awkward to me. But I like Gwen in this one, she usually looks like Illyria's long lost sister on the covers.

Yeah, that looks a lot like it! DO we have Cordy here people?!
Could this mean the mystery guy for Issue 5 may be Groo? He doesn't know that Cordy's dead and the guy has a pretty pissed off expression. THen again, she's in the cover for First Night or whatever its called, not the regular issue of AtF.

I think we have Cordy - I've blown up the image, recoloured it, looked at in a magnifying glas - and it is still fuzzy - but the body looks like Cordy - a lot like the picture above but with a strap diagonally across her shoulder and her chest - a purse or a weapon strap.

Don't think it would happen (The First is probably laying low for a couple millenia or so), but it would be interesting if The First showed up in Hell.A. wearing a Cordelia suit, with Groo in toe (Hello, Issue 5 mystery man). It could also very well be Lilah. She's not a stranger to curly hair (though it wasn't her best look, in my humble opinion).

At first I wanted it to be Knox, but when I saw Cordy on this cover I thought, "No one ever told Groo she was in a coma! He's going to be pissed!" Ergo the expression on the man's face in the issue 5 cover.

Well actually I think it would go, "No one ever told Gru she was DEAD! He's going to be MEGA MEGA MEGA pissed."
I'm kind of hoping it will be Gru now, I really liked his character and it will be cool to see him again.

The moreI look at the little picture, the more I am convinced it is Cordy - which is plausible since her death was the result of magical interference. So perhaps, Cordy would have stayed dead in a non-hell LA universe, but since her team is in Hell, it makes sense that she would come back all ready to fight. And - Groo - I so like this idea.
The posture of the figure on the cover reminds me of how Cordy looked when she ranoff to "save Gunn from himself" - the episode where she lost Angel's car.
I think we could have a really good storyline with Cordy - she may have come back or she may only be able to be present in alternate earth dimensions.
