Just a heads up to my fellow Angel fans. On the website for TFAW, they have the pre-order screen up and available for the Comic-Con special cover for issue 10 - it says only 2,500 will ever be made and that they are all signed. Thought you'd like to be informed. Later.

Something I'm confused about: in the Wes & Spike scene, Spike mentions "H&R's plan". Any idea who "H&R" are? Or is that maybe a typo, that's actually supposed to be "W&H"?

Pretty sure "Fred-llyria" was intentional, and I don't see any problems with it. I'd been going with "Frillyria", but "Fred-llyria" works, too (and actually sounds more like something Spike would say, anyway, compared to "Frillyria")...

H&R is a company's human resources.

H&R is a company's human resources. But does that make sense within the context of Spike's comment?

Its very telling which cover was more popular when you go to the comic store a week after an issue comes out, and not only do they only have one version of the issue, but they have a LOT of it.
Asides from being stuck with Cover A and not being able to get the way cooler (and not strange looking) Cover B, I very much enjoyed Issue #10! Of course, it was partially just setting up #11, but it was very good. Favorite parts was Angel's dream, the Spike & Wesley conversation, and Angel's last line in the issue.
(BTW first post on the forum!)

I just read this issue and am blown away. One hell of an issue! (no pun intended) It was so action-packed and we find out so much. Loved Angel's dream at the beginning, it really shows that he feels like he's going to turn into an old man, while Spike lives on as the hero, with Connor at that. David Messina's art is great to depict the dream too. I loved the Angel/Nina scene, however I couldn't tell it was Nina and needed to be told, which we were, but still. Although, I prefer Nick's Nina to Franco's Nina. Lorne's dialogue makes me smile every time he says something witty. Also, I'm glad that Gwen and Nina are very much still a part of the series. It's interesting that a Connor/Gwen thing might start up. The moments with Illyria this issue made me LOL. And the Drac wannabe vamp made me LOL too. I love how the situation can go from comedic to serious like when Connor, Gwen and Nina find out that Angel's human again and Connor tells him a few truths then runs off. What a reaction. The parts with Gunn, Betta George and the slayers were really cool. I love that they followed the question that Betta George asked at the end of First Night part 2. And George's powers growing. I mean freezing people and getting into their heads like he did with Gunn and that woman in Las Vegas. Also, the murder to the slayer at Gunn's hands was brutal, but very effective. The Wesley and Spike scene was nice and needed as Wesley needed to know that nothing romantic was going on between Spike and Fred-Illyria, and that he's only trying to protect her, which Wesley is grateful for. And L.A still in tact?! Can't wait to find out more about that. Finally, Angel and Gunn meet for the first time after Gunn is turned. Cannot WAIT to find out what's in store next issue! Loved the pace of this issue and the TV-show feel to it. Bravo on the writing Brian, very well done, as well as Nick Runge's art too.

Thank you!
I'm writing issue 13 right now and wow, so much happens in the next batch of issues. Lots of revelations, action, shocking stuff. And some laughs. It's only getting better...

I lost sympathy for Gunn when he killed a Slayer. Now I think Kennedy's got the right phrase -- kill 'em like a chicken.

Finally got it today.
Yay, Nina's back! I hope Angel starts dating her again... Okay, maybe better he doesn't, since he never seemed as into her as she was and is into him.
And boy, that dream was funny. So incredibly silly. But Spike's behavior was realistic ; )
I'm glad that we found out more about the slayers. They're clearly captives and very mis-pleased.
I'm also glad to see Georges' development as a character. He seems to be a good guy. Poor thing, I hope he doesn't get brainwashed.
The exchange between Wesley and Spike was well needed. Nice to see Spike be so sympathetic to someone he's not shagging(although he seems to be unconcerned with the fact that he's going to break Spider's heart). And nice to see that Gwen still got her people skills. (sarcasm, btw).
I miss Franco Urros's art, but Nick Runge's stuff does definitely not suck. I specially like how he draws Gunn and his expressions.
Anyone else that is sure (to 80%) that in the end, it's Gunn and his gang that is going to be fighting for the good side, and that Wesley somehow will be a pawn of evil? It just seems that, since Wesley's the Key to it all, according to the voices, and Gunn's gang been working undercover for a while, it's going to be a weird battle of good vs evil. Or gray vs gray, instead of white & black(no pun intended).

Ugh I just worked around 4 hours on my reenactment of this issue and half of it deleted itself.

Best Angel cover yet. Who ever did it should just keep doing Angel covers until series end. The issue itself was awesome - the gang is back together ( more or less), characters from Asylum appeared, they found Gunn.. It was simply awesome..
