I don't want to see any Team Good characters die, either (even Kennedy). But Joss is definitely a member of the "Kill Your Darlings" school of storytelling, and he believes that a story lacks credibility if major characters don't die periodically.
Considering the massiveness of what's coming at the end of this season, I just don't see him letting us get through it without at least one core character death, and probably several supporting characters.
I hope I'm wrong, but... it would be a big departure from his usual style. He defines "happiness" as what characters feel before the tragedy hits.

Agreed. Knowing Joss's MO. there will definitely be another fatality soon.

I think in #26 we may see an attack on the Slayers' new "secret" headquarters, and a few Slayers will be killed... maybe just "extras," or maybe not.
I hope Leah and Rowena make it. I have a story about them I want to write.

i will be set for life as long as Kennedy dies. Ditto along with about 80% of the other slayers.

Good Guys Deaths : Giles. I just have a feeling... Bad Guys Deaths : Warren(Killed by Andrew). General.
Ideas : 1. Buffy will NOT kill Twilight, because it is someone close to her. 2. Amy will betray Warren, but still not be good. 3. Oz will join the Gang. 4. Andrew will kill Warren. 5. Buffy will find out about Riley's betrayal, but can not kill him.
I don't think Buffy has what it takes to kill someone dear to her. We saw that back in s5 about Dawn. Im also thinking that IF Twilight is killed, it wont be Buffy who kills him.

I don't think Buffy has what it takes to kill someone dear to her. Angel just heard you say that, and busted out laughing.

I think Andrew, Leah and Rowena may possibly die before Season 8 is finished. Twilight and Warren as well.

Andrew is most definitely going to die I bet. I was thinking he'd be the one to kill Warren, overcome him, but Predators & Prey basically screamed "love this character because we are killing him soon".
Leah and Rowena just seem like "cannon fodder", even though Leah is too cool to die.
I could see Twilight killing Amy and Warren. We know he likes to sacrifice people who work with him.

I really hope Joss isn't going to get that predictable with his redshirting of characters.
I think the scope of this season is such that it will warrant the death of at least one core character.

I don't think Buffy has what it takes to kill someone dear to her. Angel just heard you say that, and busted out laughing. And Willow. She also has no problem running over someone dear to her, to kill someone dear to them. Xander, Anya. And part of me thinks she would have killed Willow if that was the only way, back in S6. She just delayed the inevitable with that...
