Is everyone else not seeing the cool icons before the main topics?

I actually prefer these hehe. I liked the individual icons, but I always liked being able to tell where new posts were, so I wouldn't have to rely on the "35 New Post" page all day long. Back when I first joined we had emblems like this and I really enjoyed that look and system more.
But if these aren't sticking around, well that's cool too.

I'm cool either way now I've grown use to them! I know. I wish there was a way we could have two templates to choose from (one with icons and one without), but Phil said that isn't possible.

I love the cute little icons that match the different boards, but I could get used to these too if it comes down to it. It is nice knowing if there are new posts in a board or not.

I liked the other ones better but could also learn to live with these.

Personally, I'd like the best of both worlds...
Individual icons for all boards with some sort of indication on them for new posts like these generic ones.
But, alas, I hear it is impossible...

The code never worked correctly. It is supposed to show on/off versions of the board symbols, but it only showed the 'on' ones. It's weird because the code works on other forums! Originally, if the code had worked we'd have the custom icons in color if there were new posts, and in black and white if there were no new posts.
It's probably going to stay like this until I figure out what the problem is.

That's a bummer about the icons not working properly. The icons in B&W when there are no new posts and then color when there were would actually look pretty cool.

The code working never bothered me really. Because I always go into the boards and use the "New" button to let me know where I need to keep up. The main page is to me is mostly just about quickly opening a door. I do miss the pictures though. They're pretty. Hopefully it'll work out okay!

We'll see. I'm gonna ask the admin of the forum where this code was posted if there was something I did wrong.

Still haven't heard back from the creator of that particular HTML code I really dislike the Buffy 'B'...it's used so much on the forum already. I was thinking about making nice looking on/off icons using the "BVS" icon! Also, I can change them with every layout to reflect that months color scheme.

Oh boy, Phil. That sounds like a lot more work for you. No, not really. It'd only take about 10 min to whip up new on/off buttons. I'm gonna do it, I can't stand the Buffy 'B'!!

are we gonna get the individual symbols back eventually, or are we gonna keep the BVS ones?

I'm excited to get the new ones, I miss having new and exciting icons, I get tired of the "B" easily as well.
Thanks Phil!
