The powers that are really fickle

So this has been bugging me since the end of aftermath but the powers showed some uncharacteristic behavior at the end of aftermath. What I mean is the justification of killing people before they commit crimes in a minority reportesque way. I could somehow wrap my mind around the powers taking steps to more decisively combat evil but the thing that gets me is how they would originally get angel on their side when a vampire, soul or otherwise could prove to be dangerous at a future point unless these individuals that claim to be the powers were either not the powers or if they were knew for a certainty that angel would come down on their side every single time which i guess would answer the shanshu. I'm probably over analyzing but things don't seem to be right in the tptb corner of the sky.

I don't really think you can really blame The Power in ‘Aftermath’, I think it just falls on bad writing.

well yeah i mean clearly that was an issue but kelley was hand picked to do it and from my understanding when i read her preliminary interviews for aftermath she said how she was told what direction to go in but that the details were hers to flesh out like with Lynch. Which means the overlying themes of aftermath would have been the same regardless im just concerned how this will affect the future.

I thought God sent the Angels. It wasn't said out loud, but I thought so, or that it was a unknown power.

I must have missed the part where it says the powers that be.

Not that I'm surprised if it was them, because after all, we know almost nothing about them or their agenda.
