Rodriguez writes in the article that there will be humans on the Predator planet, and they'll be so nasty that they'd probably be killing each other if there were no predators around....

omg YES YES that sounds awesome ! I'm curious about off-world, the home of the predators, I wanna see what it looks like there. must be pretty rough I guess. I wonder how the humans came there, probably the predators brought them there to hunt them for fun omg I can't wait

I've been into the Alien/Predator universe alot lately. I kinda think the story sounds like the first Alien. Instead of the Predator coming to us, we go to it. I might go see this.

I was turned off when I heard it was a reboot, but I'm in as long as that's not the case.
Isn't there going to be a new Alien film as well? No Sigorney though [fail/]

I do think the Alien series should be left well alone. Even a Joss Whedon script, Jean-Pierre Jeunet in the director's seat and the presence of Weaver as the main part couldn't save the fourth film from mediocrity. What story is there left to tell about this creature? I can't help but feel that in a few years, money will be put down for a remake of Alien....On that day, I will lament.

as someone who's seen all 4 alien movies in my pre-buffy faze... i can say with all honesty and unbiased-ness that Resurrection was absolutely the best.

Alien Resurrection wasn't too bad. I liked it. I found Alien 3 a little boring. But onto the Predator movie: Hell yeah, I'm there, as long as it's not a reboot. How are you gonna top the original one? But a new Predator movie sounds pretty cool. Oh and we have partially seen the Predator's home world in AVP: Requiem

Alien 3 and Resurrection are the worst films in the series (along with Alien(s) vs. Predator). Unlike AvP though, I can enjoy A3 and Resurrection, since they actually follow the main series and have Sigourney in them. Alien and Aliens are the best though, those films are nearly perfect (especially Aliens).
I am excited about Predators though. The director did Vacancy, which was an O.K. horror film, and has Armored coming out later this year. We'll just have to see how he does with this film.

Well Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection are part of G4's Movies that don't suck so... i feel like i'm in the small minority of people who liked AVP... not Requiem, that was terrible, but the first one was good IMO.
Wyndam, i didn't see Vacancy... what score would you give it?

Compared to all the crappy horror films that come up, Vacancy was certainly above average. Nice, small cast, very tense throughout. 7/10 probably.
